Good food. Basic small town diner. Their Patty Melts are awesome. Breakfast is good. Service varies but is good overall.

Been here twice now. My husband loves their fried chicken and their chicken fried steak. My burger was good, but I was disappointed they didn't have homemade fries. I've also had an omelet here, and it was good. I loved that they got the hashbrowns nice and crispy.

If you are looking for an old school cafe ran by locals who care about the community- this is your place. It is by no means a superb culinary experience, but it is good food and even better people. Every Thanksgiving they give a free thanksgiving meal to anyone in the community and do other charity works throughout the year, they deserve your business.

Used to eat breakfast with a friend here weekly. Haven't been back since the friend moved to another state. Today, passing through Sand Springs, I decided to check it out. Very few cars parked in front around 11:15. Walked in, saw sign saying "Seat Yourself" so I sat in a little 2-person booth by the front window. They serve breakfast all day, which is what I should have gotten. Waitress didn't introduce herself and didn't know what the daily special was. There's a board hanging on the wall with specials listed for each day. Thursdays is Salisbury Steak. I decided "What the hell" and ordered it with mashed potatoes and green beans. She delivered it without saying a word about 15-20 minutes later. The steak had cooked-in onions and shards of green pepper for some reason. The mashed potatoes were pretty creamy, though the brown gravy wasn't too bad. The green beans looked like they were poured out of a can (more like Best Choice than Del Monte). Also got a dinner roll (meh). No masks, no social distancing, plenty of condiments on the table. No straw with the iced tea. I only ate half of the meal. It's a typical down home diner with waitresses who look like they were born in the diner. The walls are covered in knick knacks. The window sills were decorated with empty pop bottles (no kidding). Meal was $8.49. Tea was $1.95. On their last health inspection in December, there were 4 repeat violations and 1 warning (No chlorine in the dish washer). I won't be coming back.

Got a bite to eat while I was getting some tires put in across the street. I had an omelette with hash browns while my girlfriend had a club sandwich. Both were excellent. The waitress was amazing! This is a smaller place, but it doesn't feel crowded in any way. Will be back next time we're in Sand Springs!

Went here for dinner, got menus and water and then we waited. The server waited on two other tables that came in after we were seated and then went and sat with a gentleman that was a "regular " and proceeded to have a conversation about her life issues, car broke into and stole her purse her wallet her Xanax prescription her food stamps card..... So needless to say she never got back to us and we left to go get dinner somewhere else. Ended up a Crescent Cafe for dinner and didn't have to wait for service

I recommend the chicken fried steak. Large well seasoned and breaded. Wife had a good cheeseburger but wished they would have had home made French fries.
