Nice comedy venue where they have classes, shows and mixers. They also have a bar with interesting drink names/specials influenced by stand-up comedy concepts and entertainers. Check it out in the Plaza District!

The "2nd Saturday Squeaky Clean Family Friendly Comedy Show" is a great bargain at $5 a person. Our kids had a great time and would love to go again. As promised, the show was kid appropriate and fun. It's a small hall and there were not a lot of families there (maybe 5?) so all the kids in the audience got to participate with shouting out requested items. A few things to know for parents who might be strict. You do enter through a "bar" area but you don't see a lot of alcohol paraphernalia or anything like that, it's just a sparsely decorated space (decorated mailing with varying Pride Flags), otherwise the space is clean, seating is just a typical dining table chair not super comfortable, but not horrible either.. and the process of purchasing tickets and entering the theatre is quick and easy. For $5, you can't hardly beat it.

Visiting the Improv was the center of our date night on the plaza and we really enjoyed it. The ticket purchase was a breeze and there is a lounge area where you can wait for the theater to open for the next show. We went to the 7:30 show on a Saturday night (though it started about 10 minutes late). It was divided into three segments with a different group performing for each and a break between the second and third. It seemed to get better with each group that went on stage, but all were entertaining. It was good and we'll definitely be back for more. Especially love that they have a family-friendly show at 6 and love that they offer classes. This is good, solid community stuff right here. I really like what they're doing and how hard they're working at it, but from a more objective perspective, the lounge up front needs some attention. It feels undeveloped and uninviting. We opted to wait in The Pritchard next door. I understand that this just needs time and budget, so please don't let it deter you, the thing OKC Improv really needs then is more visitors, right? Let's help this thing grow into something great!

If you are looking for something fun, economical, and unique to do, you should visit OKC Improv. You can feel the joy and excitement that the performers share as they are "all in" in all that they do. The performance hall is simple and clean and provides an intimate community experience. I had never seen an "improv musical" and was so impressed with the creativity and the in the moment , thinking on feet talent that was shown. If you are open minded to a new experience, you will leave with a smile and will be glad you visited OKC Improv.

Located in the heart of the Plaza district this gem of a theatre throws up improvised comedy like it ain't no thang. I checked this place out this past Friday Night at the 7:30pm set and was so impressed. They did an improvised Western the team was Fistful of Improv if I recall correctly. The plot was goofy and fun and took all of the suggestions into account. The lighting and music changes were also masterfully done which takes a lot of skill! The second half of that 7:30pm show was an amazing two person team doing one scene for 20 minutes which was also phenomenal. There is a pretty spacious bar area outside the theatre itself where you can fill up before the show starts or at intermission. They also have a wall of board games to play. If you happen to get there early enjoy a beer or cocktail and a round of Battleship. If you are looking to change up your Friday or Saturday night, this is the place to do it! Do yourself a favor and sign up for classes too, these people know how it's done.

So this little local gem is in the heart of plaza district. I took young grandson. He loves the interactive play and use of music with the-made up lyrics. Two groups performed. Paid student and senior price -a great value for live theatre. Bar with wine and soda is available. Intermission between acts. Nice venue. Acoustically for such a intimate space was a little too loud. The actors all project wonderfully so I felt a little bombarded by the sound level. This is one of those great date night spots . Have dinner before the 7:30pm or later 9:30 pm show. A great dessert with laughs.

Wow. Just stumbled upon them through an ad in the Gazette. Went in with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. Performers are quite talented. I like the community feel to the place and their charity work. The bar and lounge are spacious. Clean bathrooms. Seating isn't comfortable in the theater but it didn't bother me much because the show immediately draws your attention. It's a great place to go on a date or go out with friends. I was so happy to see an all female cast perform for the first act. Will return.

No stars. Pun intended. It's arrogant to not start your show on time. It's arrogant to still be doing a mic and sound check 10 minutes after your show was supposed to start. It's arrogant to not make an announcement to your audience. It's arrogant 20 minutes after start time to not have comedy improv but to have a drag performance. This was my first experience at OKC Improv. I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess the performers are probably hey-look-at-me performers and not I-wanna-make-you-laugh performers.I complained on the way out after 10 seconds of a tired drag song. No apologies. Arrogant!
