Nomad Bbq Deli

Pros: It's been a year since I last reviewed this place. I still really like it. I got here at 1050am (they open at 11) and there was a line. I really like their potato salad, beans, and coleslaw. I think the service gets better every time I come here.Cons: the mac & cheese is OK.

We have tried going here but every time we did, they would be sold out. But today was my lucky day. I ordered a 2 meat plate with ribs and brisket. My husband got the brisket plate. Our sides were potato salad, cheesy grits, and coleslaw. They did sell out of the Mac and cheese. The BBQ was full if flavor even without sauce. The cheesy grits were my favorite side. Yum! The portions are generous so we had enough to take home. Can't wait to go back.

I went here for the first time and tried the pastrami sandwich. It was so good. The owner was doing the register and she was very kind. She talked to me and answered all my questions. I can't wait to go back and try the barbecue but I really enjoyed my sandwich. They were super busy and already sold out of a lot at noon but this place is worth the try.Also, I tried a side of mac & cheese, which was very smoky and creamy, and really good. I don't like the sandwiches do not come with a side, but this side was well worth the three extra dollars.

I ordered the Cuban sandwich (which sold out shortly after our arrival) and potato salad as my side. The potato salad was SO good and creamy. It was a little unique, as it had a strong green onion flavor, which I really enjoyed. It was like a nice sour cream and onion dip fused with creamy, delicious, potato salad. The star of the show, the Cuban, was perfect, with a nice pressed thin bread, delicious pickles, swiss cheese, mustard, and smoky, savory pulled pork. The sandwich had a hearty amount of meat on it, which made it incredibly filling. It was also the best Cuban I've had in Tulsa!My next visit will consist of the Cuban and a rib--because the ribs looked and smelled fantastic!

Ribs, Chopped Brisket and Wings were great. Enjoyed the house made chips too. Good flavor - staff was awesome - great location. Good choice of sauce for those that like options.

We heard about Nomad BBQ a few months ago and finally stopped in for lunch. What a great little BBQ place in midtown Tulsa! When you walk in, you'll place your order at the counter. We had the pastrami and the Philly sandwich. Both were delicious!! And, the side of fried okra was perfect! The service was also very good - friendly and efficient! We enjoyed talking with one of the ladies working there, and were checked on several times throughout our lunch. She asked if we needed anything and showed us where "to go" containers were. We would highly recommend this spot for a great lunch, but be sure to get there early because they do sell out of some things. Can't wait to return!

I had the brisket Philly. It was delicious! And they have the creamiest smoked mac n cheese you'll find anywhere! So good. I highly recommend you go to Nomad for mouthwatering BBQ and great service!

Nomads is run by a former employee of Burn Co, which is widely regarded as one of the best BBQ joints in Tulsa. So as you can imagine, Nomads is as well. It's a little different than most as it doesn't have the typical menu. As the name implies, there is an emphasis on unique sandwiches like ham and turkey or bbq pastrami (my favorite). They do offer brisket and ribs but not your typical combo platters. It is a small shop at the end of a strip center. Old style tables and a few televisions. Nothing fancy but everything you need. You order at the counter and the servers will bring you your meal. They are always very friendly and helpful with menu recommendations. Today I tried the Dirty Hog which was piled high with smoked bologna, pulled pork, fried jalapenos rings and a cheddar cheese sauce. On the verge of needing a knife and fork, it was delicious and very filling. They have my favorite fried okra in town. They fry the whole pod and it is seasoned to perfection. A great place for a quick BBQ lunch. Definitely give NBD a try.

Came in on Friday for lunch and learned this was their first full week being open. I usually try sliced brisket and ribs at every new place I visit. Was disappointed they didn't have any sliced brisket available so I ordered the Philly sandwich with a side of Mac n Cheese. A guy heard me asking the cashier if I could just order one rib. He came up and said sure he would do that.The Philly was served on a fresh Hoagie roll and had chunks of brisket, grilled peppers, onions and cheese and was really good. The Mac had large noodles and was super cheesy! Definitely worth checking out, so go give them a try!

Uh if you haven't been go! This place is delicious and serves a great combo of BBQ, Sandwiches, and Sides.You can even get wings in pairs of 2 to try the flavors!! This Chopped Brisket Philly was dynamite and the beans are highly recommended.This was recommended to me by a friend and I'm glad I listened. Do your stomach a favor!
