Neon Moon

If you're driving along the 49 and don't know to look for it, you might miss Neon Moon. It's a fantastic discovery we found off the Daytrippers app - a small little burger joint hidden in the town of Mountainburg, Arkansas. Maybe it's because I'm from out of town. Maybe this menu is the norm around here, but the West Coast is missing out! The moon fries were sensational! As we're the fried pies! Good sized portions too.But what really got me happy-dancing in my seat was the homemade chips and cheese sauce the friendly gal at the window suggested we break our diets with, while we waited for our lunch. O.Ma.Gosh! We scarfed those down like it was the last food til Barstow! I'm soooo upset I can't get these in my town. But I suppose my thighs would go on protest if I could. There were a few other unusual (to me) choices on the menu I'd try if we stuck around, but we have more roadside America to explore. Neon Moon is going in my road trip favorites, for sure!

I ordered cheeseburger and tator-tots. My husband ordered cheese tator-tots and hog heaven pulled pork. Every order is prepared as you order it. Just like they advise. So please be patient - We had four people ahead of us on a Wednesday evening. Small town with one main road and a foos truck - the Neon Moon ! Super nice people, clean and very friendly. Photos of our order attached. This was our last stop on our way home from a week long vacation. It's a simple burger, tots, and sandwich. Which did exactly what we needed for the end to our day.

Very cute and yummy roadside burger stand. They have much more than burgers, but for my first time that's where I thought I'd start. Very good cheeseburger and tots, and tea! Also, they made my dogs chicken nuggets! Not far off I-49 (~2mi) in Mountainburg. Highly recommend stopping instead of a chain. Will be back.

Really wanted this place to be dope. Was kinda a fat bomb without sufficient acid or salt. Pies we're about $2 better than a pre packaged fried pie. Bummer. Not a lot of options out here so go for it I guess.

Passing through this town and found that this place is amazing. The prices were great and everything was made to order. I got the chilli cheese fries for $7 and it was HUGE. My boyfriend got the fatty mcpatty and inhaled it before I could get a picture- but he definitely recommends.

Loved this place! Great sandwiches, we tried the Swiss Kiss, grilled chicken with gam and swiss cheese, it was excellent! Best ever coconut fried

burger so so so good. 5 guys on a 4 day trip, consumed at least 25 burgers from here. on our 4th visit they gave us free chips. music they play is based. ate too fast to take a good picture. 7/5 recommend.

Under new ownership.. was good before... new owner made minor changes... food is better... fries and burgers not greasy like before. Tasty and filling.

Great burgers, fries, and tots! First time here from Texas but sure to come back if I'm ever in town again.
