Moondog's Coney Cafe

Meat, bread, chili, cheese and onion, the American equivalent of street tacos. Simple pleasure. Moondog's are the best. Smokey flavor in the dog, superb chili, fresh chopped onion. Bargain deals. Get two or three with chips and a drink. Lots of versions and I spotted a Cuban sandwich on the menu. Friendly service. A mom-and-pop operation. Clean with a tropic surf side décor. They even have a banana tree out front!Eat here. You will throw rocks at those sad excuses for coneys that you have been eating.

My first time to Moondogs in Bixby, Ok and I was blown away! The food is incredible! I had a regular coney and 'the Moondog' (highly recommend both). I also had their oatmeal cream cookie...it was from another world!! They need to package those up and sell them online or something! So so delicious!! Still dreaming about all of it!Not only was the food great but the service/atmosphere was amazing...joyful, fun, happy! I felt 'home'. This place left a memorable mark on me...will be one of my 'must-haves' everytime I visit Bixby/Tulsa now!Michelin needs to come out and review this place! Thank you for the wonderful experience Moondogs!!

I finally found a great coney place. Today, I stopped by Moondogs to try it out. Mike, who made my dogs, was very personable, and I enjoyed talking to him. I ordered their version of the Chicago dog and a chili cheese coney. The Chicago dog, while not completely traditional (reg. bun and jalapeños are the differences) was delicious with ample toppings. I was very pleased upon finishing it, but as soon as I bit into the chili dog, it felt like I was transported back to my childhood. It was perfect. The chili was delicious, which I have found to be quite rare in hot dog restaurants. My only regret was not ordering more. Unfortunately, this is not by my house, but it is well worth the 20-minute drive. If you like a good dog, give this place a try.

Smallest hot dogs ever!! Not worth it for me. Chili is blah as well! Won't be back.coming from Chicago where they know how to make hotdogs and fixings! This was a big letdown

Really enjoyed our hot dogs/coneys! I loved the regular chili cheese coney but I added jalapeños and my brother had an enchilada dog. We really enjoyed them. Very cute, clean establishment- very friendly staff/owners. Great prices! I'll absolutely be back.

Working in Tulsa , I am trying the different coney restaurants. Moondog has a few different options I have not seen around town. I thought the chili was better tasting and I thought the options were intriguing. Make sure to sprinkle the cayenne pepper to give it a kick.

Below average chili. I did not enjoy the dinning experience. People are friendly, the food is not very good.

I have eaten there several times and it is consistently really good. we get them to go pretty often. yummy the owners are really nice and friendly I would definitely recommend them to anyone they have other stuff on the menu.
