In my attempt to find local garden starts this spring, I had the displeasure of calling this place. Lady on the phone describes to me how they do not sell to the public and anyone who tries will be found out and denied service. They ALWAYS know she says. She described it proudly, like us public folk are such lowlifes. Obviously I didn't care for the attitude.I don't get it. My husband and I bought from many growers/wholesalers back in Utah, most of which sold to the public as well as wholesale with multiple price points. Sales taxes schmaxes. Our money is as good as theirs.

I've been going to McCauleys for over 30 years when the Dad Jim opened the business. Dad has passed on and his daughter, Kelly has run it efficiently for more years than I can remember. It's not open to the public, but to businesses who need to buy in quantities for landscaping. They have beautiful hanging baskets, 6 and 8 inch pots and sell in flats only. This works for those in the landscaping profession. I myself have aged and Kelly personally has driven me around to the multitude of greenhouses since I need a walker. Everyone there has always been super friendly. If you're looking to but a 6 pack of one thing and a 6 pack of another, there are plenty of other options in the Metro area. Landscapers are extremely grateful to have this well-run business as a supplier of great quality plants.
