Matador Mexican Bar And Grill

Passing through town and chose Matador for lunch based on Yelp rating. Very clean inside and quite spacious but we were immediately hit with a very strong scent of Fabuloso which is not pleasant to me and was noticeable the entire time we were there. Our server was very pleasant and answered our questions we had about menu items. A basket of thin, warmed chips were served with a mild salsa. The chips were great. I ordered the Burrito Matador lunch special with ground beef, beans, rice, red sauce, sour cream, lettuce and a nice thick slice of tomato. My girlfriend ordered lunch special #1 which was a Chile Relleno, Chicken Taco, beans and Avocado salad. The shredded chicken in the taco was tender and juicy. The portions were generous. For dessert we split a Flan which was very good. Overall it was a positive experience with the exception of the Fabuloso smell and the food was a bit bland. Prepared well however and served hot. We'd visit again.

While noisy the fajitas were great. I had chicken and beef combined. Since I not a big eater I had plenty to take home for lunch. Check out nightly specials

Food was rather good, never been here. I enjoyed the portion and the drinks. The service was also friendly, I had a good time at the restaurant. I feel that the ambiance could use some music, it was rather quiet.

So your hungry for fajitas we'll look no further this place serves up some great fajitas. Always had great service from here and the chips n salsa are always so fresh and hot chips. The fajitas from here are always so good. I like there refried beans from here as well. The enchiladas from here are very good as well

My elderly parents love to go out for Mexican food but they always want to go to the same place which is quite a drive. We have talked them into trying the Matador twice and we all love it. The food is always good as well as the service. BUT, the music is pretty loud and because of this we don't visit often.Matador Siloam Springs, please turn it down so that we can visit more often. Thanks!

Delicious Mexican food, clean and pleasant ambiance, fast service, friendly waitstaff. Burritos and fajitas are excellent, huge portions. Chips and salsa are tasty, queso is fantastic. Good choice for nice dining experience in Siloam Springs.

My husband and I decided to give this place a try Saturday. We travel to Siloam Springs often and eat at various restaurants. We went to the Matador around 4:45. It was well staffed and seemed clean. The decor is nice. The music was horrible but the sound system was off. The server was not very attentive or prompt for as staffed as they were and not too busy. We both liked the chips and salsa but everything went down hill from there. I'm not sure if it is the location of where in Mexico this style of Mexican food comes from but from our perspective it tasted like all of it came out of a can and was heated up. We are taking the ground beef, the chicken, the rice, the beans. The only thing authentic was the lettuce, , sour cream and tortillas. We have had similar tasting Mexican food. We will never go back. Too many other restaurants to try.

The Matador Mexican bar and restaurant was one of the worst Mexican restaurants my wife and I have ever eaten at. My wife is a huge Mexican food fan and loves chile Rianos. The bartender was our server and she was slow to get there and we ate an entire basket of chips before she took our order and there was only a few people in the bar area. When my when my wife complained about the Riano, she said that she should've got it with cheese or a different sauce because they didn't come with the chili Verde sauce. We eat Mexican quite a bit and she always gets either a chili Riano or an enchilada with verde sauce. We had to wait another 15 minutes before she ever brought us our ticket when we were clearly ready to go. She did not even offer to reduce the price when my wife only ate about three or four bites of her food.The only thing that we really liked was the chips and salsa and I had a chicken enchilada that was pretty average. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone based off of the service and the quality of some of their food.

Long wait to be seated, hardly any customers, no servers around, we had a rude waitress, kept brings orders not for us, they are usually very good but not today

Not a bad Mexican restaurant, food is good, staff is friendly, close to the house! I would recommend this place!
