Lu's Pampered Paws

This is the only place I will take my dogs to get groomed in the Tulsa area! Simply the sweetest girls work here, so sweet to my dogs! I've been going to Lu's for 5 years now, and they are consistent, do the best job, and are kind, gentle people. Everyone I have referred to them still uses them and feels the same way I do. Only place I can take my difficult to groom dogs. They are dog whisperer's here and my dogs always come away looking amazing.

I took my 9 month old wheaten puppy here for the first time after moving from out of town. I was a bit apprehensive just because the breed has a lot of hair and have to be groomed regularly so the last thing we wanted was for our dog, Duncan, to be traumatized. The groomer called 3 hours after I dropped him off the "make sure" which cutting style we wanted and then said "I'm about to start now so you can pick him up in 20 minutes" -- which seemed odd, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Upon picking up Duncan, we paid 65.00 and left. Once home, I discovered that our puppy had been shaved nearly raw on his entire underside/private parts and had 3 different OPEN WOUNDS/abrasions. The groomer did not mention this to me which I found to be the worst part. He was extremely uncomfortable in the days that followed and it finally healed after about a week. I understand that accidents happen, but not disclosing this to the owner of a pet is unacceptable. I'll spare you the photos.

We took our 2 Havanese dogs in for grooming today and I must say it was a great experience not only for the dogs but for my wife and me as well. We took the dogs in a 7:45 and we picked them up around 10. Perfect. Our dogs looked great. Brandy did a wonderful job. We will definitely return whenever our dogs need grooming again.

The groomers do a nice job and are reasonably priced. I wouldn't take my little dog anywhere else. Started going there after my friend asked me to pick up her poodle. The cuts look great.

Be very careful! They don't care what your wishes or instructions are. They are going to do what they want instead. She even had the audacity to tell me to my face "I know you said not to trim her, but I did it anyway" (like I was going to be appreciative that she completely did us a disservice when this is supposed to be a service business). Insane. No awareness that anyone could possibly have different ideas or tastes. Completely self absorbed.

I've been going to Lu's for five years now. No complaints! Nice ladies who don't hack your dog up like some places.
