Lotus Express

The food is really good but I am no longer going to eat here. The food melts the styrofoam plate so bad and they refuse to plate my food in my own container because of "contamination" Let's be real here The food is completely contaminated with melted styrofoam, how is that safe for consumption? Make it make sense So until they get rid of the styrofoam I'm not going back

Small place but boy they turn out a lot of meals. I was about 6th in line at drive thru and made it out in about 15 minutes. considering they were also serving walk in and carry out, not bad. The take printed menus you can take are way off in price from the actual amounts and is confusing at best. From what I gather, there really is no ala carte. All the meals come with fried/steamed rice and either a cream cheese wonton or an egg roll. I ordered a large Kung Pao Chicken with wonton. The wonton was good however they do not give you sweet and sour or hot mustard unless you ask. The fried rice was simply steamed rice with some soy sauce added. No egg or veggies in mine. Seriously doubt it was actually "fried". The kung pao was tasty but lacking the kick from some heat or spice. I had some monster chunks of chicken versus smaller pieces Ive come to expect. The place is run by a bunch of kids without an asian among them. Based on the price ($8 with tax) and that I will easily get 2-2 1/2 meals out of it, I would say a-okay.

The food is excellent, every single time. The wait can be long, so it's best to call it in, and park to grab it inside. The garlic chicken is delicious. The crab Rangoon is consistently good. This is our go-to for Chinese.

Best cashew chicken! I live in texas now and always look for Springfield style cashew chicken but haven't yet. I always try to stop by here when I'm in town. Delicious.

I moved 3 hours away. I complain to everyone here that there is isn't one place that is comparable to the quality and value of this place. I still go out of my way to stop by when I come pack for holidays and such. Yea, that's how much I love and miss this place!Fun fact: Back in college, me and all my roommates use to eat here twice a week.

Every time I come back to Pittsburg, this is one of my favorites that I have to visit at least once while I'm here. The food is awesome! You get very generous portions, and a flavor and style you don't find many other places. Definitely eat here, you won't be disappointed.

Alright, if you have ready any of my reviews, you've probably noticed I eat way too much takeout Chinese food. I love it and Lotus Express is at the top of my takeout list. Their prices cannot be beat and the food is always fresh! My favorite thing about Lotus Express is that they always use all white meat chicken (something that's usually hard to find). My only warnings would be to make sure you have time to wait in line if you go during peak hours, you're tables food will usually not come out at the same time if you're dining in and that the food is served on styrofoam plates with plastic utensils. Otherwise, this place is great and I would recommend any of the chicken entrees and crab rangoon.

I love coming here anytime i come to pittsburg KS. I use to eat here all the time when i went to Pittsburg State University. And you still get a lot of food for low money. I got Spicy chicken Broccoli and egg roll for about $6 dollars. So much food amd the sauce taste awesome. Thanks!

Are here 5 years of being away from Pitt. This used to be the best Chinese while I was there especially for the price! My wife and I had the orange chicken and lo mein with an egg roll, side of rice and crab Rangoons. The orange chicken has definitely changed since last time I ate there and it was not very great! Prices have definitely gone up as well but that's expected. Would definitely recommend the lo mein and crab Rangoon though!
