Food is always made fresh to order. Service is friendly and efficient but they will take the time to explain the menu.I highly recommend. And in season they always have a soccer game on which is part of the ambiance.

The restaurant is not part of an Oklahoma restaurant cartel or associated with any other restaurant with the name Molcajetes. It is a local family operation. The owner seated us and provided menus. We ordered two sodas. The soda machine is in the dining area within a few steps of our table. The owner's wife delivered chips and I requested salsa picante. It was some good spicey stuff, which I started sucking down with the best curved spoon shaped chips I could find in the basket that would hold the most. Still no soda and I was becoming concerned. I looked over to see that the owner had a broom and dustpan out, cleaning something from around and behind the soda dispenser. After quite a wait, the lady delivered the drinks and returned to the activity occurring at the soda machine. I didn't need to know Spanish. The owner's tone of voice, assisted with animated moves of his hands was universal. He and his wife's conversation went back and forth a few times. I tried to ignore the discussion until I noticed that the owner pointed at our table a couple of times during their ongoing squabble. Not sure why. All we did was order two diet sodas. After a while the atmosphere calmed, they separated. He sat at a table and became absorbed by his cell phone and she tended to the business of serving customers. Big menu for a small restaurant. I ordered the combination plate #19. A relleno and a taco. The waitress offered a choice of queso or red sauce for the meals. I asked if the red sauce was a mole or a tomato-based ranchero style sauce. Mole it was for me. My wife got a lunch special, chicken enchilada with the same sauce. The cheese stuffed poblano, and the enchilada were covered. A perfect taco on my plate and both plates filled with very good rice and beans. A real surprise. I told the waitress how much we enjoyed the excellent mole. The food was perfect. She appreciated the complement of her restaurant, but responded with "I don't like mole!" I got a laugh.Los Molcajetes is a clean little restaurant with a large menu. For a restaurant of this size, it has a better variety of plates than most small OkieMex joints. Check the menu. The food we had was delicious and a bargain. Two meals, chips salsas, and two drinks for $20 and change (less tip). The food here is fantastic with real authentic salsa and cuisine. For a small town in Oklahoma this place has figured out how to provide "real" good authentic Mexican food. It is definitely the best in town and one of the best in the state.

Traveling thru the area , we stopped in for some lunch, first time here . I enjoy trying new spots. The place is smaller witch means the service was fantastic, the chips were warmly and the home made salsa was very good. I had a chili relleno and steak taco and orange soda. My wife had chicken tacos, we both loved the flavor of our meal, the inside is decorated nicely and I would highly recommend this spot

LOVE this place! Great family and great food! Always very friendly! I always get the Jalisco special (bed of rice with chicken, steak, shrimp, onions, tomatoes,bell peppers and queso). Recently tried their margaritas they were really good. Best Mexican restaurant in town.

The staff is efficient and friendly and service is excellent. Food has always been good. Everyplace has its ups & downs, but we have never been disappointed. Give them a try I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

I'm from New Mexico. I grew up on red and green chili. Been to many so called "Mexican" restaurants in Oklahoma. This is the best so far.

Fantastic lunch. I was super pleased with the quality, service, cleanliness and price.

We misunderstood that we had a table held for us and caused a complete almost meltdown of the staff. If we had not been with a group we would have gotten up and left. When we ran out of chips, there was no offer to refill them while other tables that were with us were refilled quickly. The salsa was extremely good and the food was good as well. The service reminded me of the soup nazi from Seinfeld. " you no chips for you, you come back three days." Wouldn't recommend especially if they appear to be busy.

Good real Mexican! Not texmex. Good salsa and chips always fresh. Love the shrimp quesadillas!
