Los Dos Amigos is a Wikipedia perfect example, of a small town OkieMex restaurant. It is in a repurposed building that looks suspiciously like an old, old, McDonald's. Bright colors inside and heavy wooden chairs decorated with Mexican scenes and branded with the restaurant's name, in case you forget where you are after the third margarita. A very small restaurant. It checks all the boxes for true flavorful OkieMex . As with most OkieMex joints, Los Dos Amigos has the large encompassing menu to satisfy everyone. And nothing bland. The critical first test is the salsa. Great flavor. Salsa Picante available on request. Four alarm fire. Mix it with the flavorful mild salsa to get the heat you need. The restaurant serves its drinks in large plastic cups. They have to be at least 24 oz. Great idea. You don't have to try to flag down a waiter for refills. It will last you through the meal unless you have too much of the salsa picante. The restaurant is very well staffed with ample experienced servers, constantly on the move attending to the patrons. The food is delivered quickly. Prices are astonishing low. Small town low. $6.99 for filling lunches and reasonable prices for the dinner and special plates. Two great meals, all of the chips and salsa we could eat, and those large drinks. My wife and I, were filled for $23.52 (less tip). I had the Pollo Chipotle. A large, thin, grilled chicken breast covered in a mild savory chipotle salsa. The Chipotle salsa met expectations. Beans, rice and pico de gallo along with the meal. A simple and wonderful meal. My wife had the #5, tamale, chili relleno and refried beans. The tamale was covered with a chili Colorado and the relleno a tomato based salsa. Very good.I am not sure what other Mexican restaurants the town has to offer (if any), but I doubt that there are any better than Los Dos Amigos. Everything just clicked for me at this fine, little authentic OkieMex restaurant, in (say it correctly) My-am-ah, Oklahoma

Service was 100% every staff member that walked by asked if we needed anything, food was awesome, good portions, flavorful, you have got to ask for their spicy sauce, it is great, Only down fall is the dining area is small and loud, we watched 5 parties come in see the wait and leave within the 45min we were there.

Saw good reviews and came by as we didn't want fast food. We got loads of excellent Mexican food in Houston, TX but adjusted expectations here. This restaurant is on the historical route 66 highway with plenty of stop signs and traffic lights.Large parking place and the placed was packed. Unsure the requirements in OK but no one from staffs to patrons had masks. No social distancing in tables. Ordered the 3 different types of enchiladas and pick 2 combo on chicken quesadilla and chili con queso. It's a half quesadilla and the chili con queso looked nothing like I had ever. It's edible but won't be returning.

Well I had a ok service sat down and people that sat after me was getting service it's like they forgot I was here! So I ordered my chili Colorado which is slow simmered meat in red chili sauce so my food came with over cooked strips of beef with chili sauce poured over the top !!! Not even as described and what's up with all the white cheese sauce on everything that's not real Mexican food !!! Chips were good salsa was bland

It was a bit loud and crowded, and no health & safety precautions were being taken whatsoever... not that I necessarily expected this from a spot in super small town, but still. I wouldn't recommend going with more than a table of 4 people. I did see one or two tables that could seat 6 though, but it just felt too crowded to me for a bigger or medium sized group. Maybe they were just busy though. Service wasn't bad but not super friendly either.I ordered the chile verde and really enjoyed it. I'd say it was a bit of a saving grace. In particular, the meat had such a strong garlic flavor and it was just really good to me. The verde sauce was also good, but not as memorable a flavor as the overall garlic. I'd say it was a mild verde sauce though. I also liked how the meat was a bit more shredded than the typical chunks, which I'd never seen before. I guess it's not better or worse that way, but it did seem easy to eat like that. It was also not very fatty at all which I was another thing I was happy about. It came with rice and beans which were pretty standard. I did not get tortillas with it like at most places. The house salsa was nice. It was mild but fresh, and almost maybe a roasted flavor, which I appreciated. The spicier salsa I asked for was a bitter kind of heat. I liked it mixed with the regular but didn't necessarily love it from a flavor standpoint just on its own, since the main taste to me was just bitter. While this wasn't my favorite experience, I'd probably come back and even order the same thing... I'd just make sure to go when it's less loud and crowded feeling.

Service was phenomenal, food was great. Portions huge! Love their thin chips. Salsa was the best. Need to ask for Melissa, she's very knowledgeable . Their breakfast is world, no Oklahoman, no Miami renowned.

This is my "go to" for Mexican when I am home. I travel a lot, but when I'm home, this restaurant is my place when my taste buds crave good Mexican food. Very casual atmosphere, good prices for what you get, and the servers are always attentive. The food is as good quality as the Mexican food that a few other restaurants in the area serve, but priced so much better. Great value for the money, and the flavor that I prefer out of all the others.
