Los Cocos

Los Cocos is a surprisingly large comfortable restaurant that occupies the entire corner on the south side of W. Ferry St. (Hwy 20) and S. Commerce St. in Salina. You will see it on your right as you come in to town from Pryor. The food is fabulous and the service matches. The restaurant has a large menu, of Mexican food, but also offers pizza, burgers and a full bar. Food and beverages to please everyone. The perfect place to stop, coming or going to the lake. I didn't expect to find this quality of food and service in small town Salina. Kaitlyn delivered chips and salsa. I asked if there was a spicy salsa and she started naming everything they had. I asked for a small sample of everything. That is what I got. They have a great variety. All were very good; the hotter versions were my favorite. Check the picture. My wife and I both got the Combo Dinner: Beef Taco, Beef Enchilada, Pork Tamale, Beans and Rice. As a sauce option for the tamale Los Cocos has an excellent authentic red sauce. A true flavorful red chili mole. It is delicious and perfect on the tamale. Well-seasoned ground beef filled the enchilada and the crispy taco. Tasty beans and rice on the side.Los Cocos was a surprise that exceeded expectations!

Good food, many options and good prices. We always get the enchiladas verde which has green sauce.

I spent many summers in Salina when I was younger, and Dairy Deal was the main place to eat. I was pleasantly surprised to find a Mexican restaurant, but even more surprised that it was really good. I am proud to say Salina has fine dining available now. I had the enchilada dinner with spinach and cheese and it was delicious. My wife had the veggie quesadilla and they made it as requested light on cheese and more veggies, and she enjoyed it. They have four salsas to choose from, mild, medium (cilantro lime), a medium hot, and habanero (hot). They also serve pizza and burgers besides Mexican dishes. It would be nice to have a veggie burger option, but they have a few vegetarian options on the menu. We will definitely stop through here again.

Great food that came out quickly and hot, excellent service, and the top shelf margarita was great as well! The habanero sauce was all there and had great flavor. Highly recommend if you like spicy foods!

Good food. Good pizza. Always check your to go order. They always leave something out, Just double check so you want be disappointed when you get home.We own a campground across the lake and I recommend this restaurant to our guests. We have their menu in each Cabin.

I am a Mexican Food Enthusiast. The food here is outstanding because it has flavor. NO BLAND HERE!!! In fact, my nose is running and I am happy. The hanenero salsa is HOT!!! HOT!!! HOT!!! The salsa verde is also outstanding!!!I am very satisfied with the food, and I highly recommend this restaurant. ENJOY!!!

Surprising find in little Salina... an excellent Mexican restaurant. Order the ceviche appetizer and got a very large bowl full of shrimp, diced avacado, pico and lime juice... excellent. The tilapia was also great, not over cooked with tasty topping of pico, cilantro and lime. Server was attentive and friendly, and the even the music was great, more of a cubano sound, all instrumental.

First visit today for lunch. We had the cheapo lunch specials (taco & chz enchilada and beef burrito & chz enchilada) that came with rice & refried beans for $6.99 which was a fantastic value , even if the food was a bit bland. The free salsa & chips were excellent and we got refills of each without asking. Place was clean, service good. We will go back and try some of their higher-end plates and hope they have a bit more flavor / if they dont I will change my rating to 3 stars from 4.

Terrific (pork-stuffed) chile relleno for lunch!Excellent table service, too -- fast and friendly.

Average Mexican fare. Service is cold, unfriendly. Bar drinks are pretty good EXCEPT for the margaritas which uses a cheap, mouthwash flavored margarita mix :( Why can't more Mexican joints just use good lime juice and fresh ingredients in this classic drink? Owners and staff seem dark and broody, not open and friendly. It almost felt like if you aren't "in on something" or part of a local club you will feel almost like you're intruding. Meh.
