Log Cabin Cafe

Old school! Big plates. Customized. Filling. Solid. Butter forward. Just yum! The place is a trucker's dream. Service was fast and friendly.

First off, the people who own and work here are awesome. They are friendly and real down to earth people. Secondly, the service was warm, prompt, and attentive. The quality of the food is the major issue. If you need sustenance, this is your place. If you want good quality food, better to drive on to the next location.

Unfortunately, we're no longer fans of the service, food, or atmosphere since they moved to the new location. We went again a few months back and the food wasn't great. Portions seemed smaller too, but the price sure didn't get reduced. Our waitress was too busy hanging out and flirting with guys we assumed were her regulars to attend to our needs. The whole place smelled like an ashtray and my son and I have asthma, so that was super fun. The outside curb appeal of the building left something to be desired. Seemed like a ran down yard sale or flea market on the front patio area and very dirty. Log Cabin Cafe's log cabin style charm is definitely gone. I don't think we'll be back.

Every time we are on Hwy 65 on Friday and tits around lunch time, we stop in Log Cabin Cafe for their Open Face Roast Beef Sandwich served with green beans and mashed potato's. This is one of my husband and my favorite sandwich of all time and let me tell you, it would be hard to beat their sandwich with white gravy. Service is always checking on you and they are courteous. Since it is a log cabin on the inside well, that's its ambiance.

We loved the Log Cabin cafe. The proximity if you are a guest at Big Cedar Lodge is perfect, 5 mins away right outside the alternative BCL entrance. And prices can't be beat, considering how expensive BCL is. It's quaint and done well, you feel like your in a log cabin, even the bathroom looks like an outhouse. The service is a okay and very friendly. And they have everything you'd want for breakfast or lunch. I get the sense it's probably pretty busy for breakfast and has a reputation for a great breakfast. We went for lunch and (yes you can get breakfast for lunch). The pancakes are huge, seriously you only need to eat one. I enjoyed the grilled cheese, you can never go wrong with that, just wish it was a little bigger. We loved the Log Cabin cage and you will too, they have a great kids meal and our very family friendly. Give it a try and enjoy!!

Great chicken fried chicken...crave worthy! Bring everyone here when they are visiting.

Loved the open faced roast beef lunch special. Their omelette was perfectly cooked. Any time you find a restaurant in a truck stop the entrance is through the attached flea market, you have to try it!

Good food. Nice folks. If you're on the south side of Branson. Good place to catch breakfast.

We stopped to get gas at Wild Bills and next door was Log Cabin Cafe. We decided to eat breakfast. It is a small cafe with sweet genuine waitresses. All of the food was amazing! My daughter had the French toast, my son had a pancake. The pancake was slightly sweet and melted in your mouth. My boyfriend had a breakfast burrito. All homemade even the tortilla. Again so good. The biscuits and gravy I think was my whole family's favorite! The biscuits were so fluffy and soft. You won't be disappointed with the food for sure. The ambience is just a normal "old school" family restaurant.

A year later and still such a great place to eat. So much food to eat. Highly recommend. A bit in the boonies but great people working here!
