My husband and I just got back from Lake Carl Blackwell. It was my first time. We camped with our camper. We were parked at Scissortail Lane. Awesome time! Bathrooms were clean, grounds were well kept. No loud music or people, our area was full. I had a great time. Will definitely go back!! The staff was great.

Love this lake. The campgrounds are nice and well kept. My only complaint is so many long term rentals. But maybe I am just jealous. I don't blame them, it's just frustrating not being able to find places to camp for the weekend. But the staff are always nice and accommodating, you can bring your golf cart which is nice. We really enjoy ourselves here. The lake is smaller but I like that because my boat is slow. I can get everywhere I need to with no problem.

I have a yearly lease here with my camper. It's a GREAT lake to be at. Even with the levels low there's still plenty of activity to take part in. I feel safe leaving my camper when I'm not there, including all my outdoor stuff. I've never had any trouble. Want to take a dip? Sure is a great and safe lake. FAmily oriented. The gas station there even has reasonably priced items and a great staff. Get gas before you get to the lake tho. This is the only thing they are overpriced on. Have fun and invite many friends. IT's a large lake.
