Joplin Avenue Coffee

I grew up in the Joplin area, but moved away in 2011. I was recently visiting family over the holidays from LA when my sister suggested this gem. I wish Joplin had these types of places back when I lived there! I've never seen so many options on a coffee shop's menu. My husband and I both got larges and they were around $6/each. That's a steal in my book considering Starbucks in the LA area can be upwards of $7-8 for specialty drinks lol. My husband had the cinnamon roll latte blended and I had the raspberry white mocha iced with SF syrup. I'm lucky to find SF vanilla at most places, but this spot had multiple SF options! The inside was super cute and was decorated nicely for Christmas.

I went to Joplin Ave for a study/cram session with my friends. I got the chai latte and it was decent! It was definitely an upgrade compared to the Starbucks chai latte but I wouldn't say it was the best chai latte I've had in Joplin (Sorry, I am Zinc biased). As for the coffee options though, I do appreciate the variety of options! The baristas are super nice and always cater to your taste if you ask them for recommendations or adjustments to your drink. Overall, my experience at Joplin Ave was good. However, I must say its not the best environment for studying. The back room serves more as a group gathering/hang out than for study purposes and they don't have the best wifi back there.

I ordered an iced caramel latte that was delicious! The service was great as when I asked what flavors of cold foam they offered, the barista was very helpful and kind. The atmosphere of Joplin Ave is very calm and welcoming!

This is becoming my one stop shop for anything caffeine related. It seemes small the first time you enter, but it's actually quite spacious once you find the passage way to get ro the back room. Cozy and quiet, it's a great place to study or do some work.While it probably (no, definitely) is an excessive drink, the Jacc'ed Up is so far my favorite. With 32 ounces of coffee, not including the 5 shots of esspresso, mixed with white chocolate and caramel, all topped by a mountain of whipped cream... it's hard to find something like it anywhere else. Besides that, the smoothies are fresh and the pastries are super tasty - I can already see myself becoming a regular.

I'm from out of town & this was one of the few places open for breakfast in downtown! super cute & cozy little spot. the staff was super nice & I loved that they had vegetarian options!

Great coffee shop! Love the added touch of the chocolate covered coffee bean that comes with your drink. The choices are great, something for everyone. And the back room is a great place to enjoy your coffee with some good conversation.

The most frigid, rude, unwelcoming baristas I have ever experienced. Quite literally. Will never be returning. I have never had such bad service at a coffee shop, and I have been to many. Even used to come here all the time up until about a year ago, so I am very disappointed that this was the treatment I received coming in today after a hard day to treat myself to a nice coffee and hadn't had one in a long time. Really put a big damper on my excitement to finally go get myself something nice. You would think that if you're paying NINE DOLLARS for a coffee, you would at least get a smile when you walked in, or anything other than the annoyed attitude I got. I will go to Zinc instead next time I decide to treat myself. I don't get coffee often, as I've said already, but at least the times I have gone to Zinc I have not been treated like I am a nuisance or a pest. I am not one to be a "Karen", but I took not even 25 seconds to order my drink and was polite like I always am (and like everyone should always be) when I interact with any service employees, so I'm pretty disappointed that this was my experience when buying a NINE DOLLAR COFFEE

We stopped in here to kill 20 minutes and enjoyed delicious coffee and good service. Lots of room to sit and hang out.

We were just passing thru town, we are visiting family and we decided to stop for coffee so here we are. The coffee is amazing and the cinnamon roll is out of this world. The customer service here is phenomenal, We're on our way back to California and we had to stopFor another cinnamon roll and coffee. I wish this place was in cali. Thank Joplin ave coffee. Ps the lucky leprechaun is amazing.

In town visiting daughter and son-in-law (in Joplin located med school) and we all popped in for morning drinks! FUN atmosphere, great staff, delicious drinks! Will be back for sure!
