Jerusalem Market

Jerusalem Market is a gem for anyone seeking authentic Middle Eastern and halal food items. The family-owned establishment, hailing from The West Bank, adds a personal touch to the shopping experience. The market boasts an impressive selection of teas, spices, halal meats, and other goodies, making it a one-stop shop for all my needs. The quality of their products surpasses those found in larger grocery chains, especially their hummus, which is a must-try. Additionally, they offer unique items like Turkish tea, tea sets, henna, and large serving dishes, adding to the cultural experience. I frequent Jerusalem Market and always leave satisfied with both my purchases and the warm service provided by the owners.

When I travel for work or on vacation I like to find Mediterranean, Middle/Eastern stores to see what the ethnicity for the state and or city is. So far for Oklahoma I found the Mediterranean Middle/Eastern stores are of Lebanese heritage. So while having a shopping day in Tulsa, I had this store on my list. I'm so happy to see spices and foods that I grew up eating. Although the store is small, it has good variety of ethnic spices, cheese, olives, dates, Halva (Middle East candy made with tahini, honey, nuts, sesame seeds. For those who like Hookah smoking, they sell Shisha & Hookahs. Great little store.

This is the only place I have found in Tulsa that sells the ingredients to make my hubby's favorite meal: Molokhia. There are lots of great ingredients at this store that you cannot get at the grocery store. I would recommend you check it out, especially if you have never tried Arabic food. They have pretty good prices on spices here even if you don't want to try the Arabic ingredients.Service wise, don't let the store owners demeanor throw you off. He is very nice and will answer your questions about the ingredients if you don't understand them or order you things you cannot find in store.

A small store tucked on a small shopping strip not really visible from Sheridan, with a reasonable selection and ok prices. Pita bread is frozen, so if you want fresh, head to Shawkat's, where it is fresh daily..I've got to say this. A friendly young guy at the register and his (likely related) very old cranky grandfather type sat with him, doubtless to make the young guy and customers want to shop elsewhere.

Excellent selection. The owner was definitely busy, but he never hesitated to answer my questions. He even apologized for being on an international phone call.

This is the only place I've found sumac (a spice). So, that's pretty handy. This spot is fairly large for a specialty grocer. Not Nam Hai big but, like an old Quick Trip big. They carry a lot of Middle Eastern specialty items. I've not had to go to other sites to find additional specialty ingredients. This is the only place I was able to find pomegranate molasses for my muhammara. Jerusalem Mart also has tahini for better prices than the grocery stores.

I somehow spent half an hour walking through this (not so large) market the first time I stopped in. It's a wonderful place to explore ingredients unfamiliar to most and it's STOCKED with halal and kosher selections. My fiancé's Jewish and grew up on fried salami and scrambled eggs so whenever I want to spoil him with this throwback I grab some kosher salami from Jerusalem Market! You'll find anything from labneh, tahini for hummus, Mediterranean spices that are difficult to find elsewhere, lavash, and much much more. You'll have to see for yourself!!

Love this place! Have been going in here i was a teenage. Everyone is always friendly and always helps with any questions I have. Great family owned store that I will always support!
