I found this food truck at the heard on heard in March and so glad I did. Even though the line was long, the long wait was worth it. I ordered the coconut sliced steak and man was it full of flavor!! It was a bit pricy but luckily there was a good amount of food in the to-go container. I would definitely order from this truck again!

This is not authentic Jamaican food at all. From a Caribbean New Yorker who has lived and travelled all over the Caribbean and eaten Jamaican food my whole life. It is just an okay tasting and pricey OKC version of what they think Caribbean food should taste like.

Some of the best Jerk chicken that I have ever had in the OKC metro area. I recommend following these guys on social media in order to get a heads up about where they will be serving lunch. The last time I visited this food truck I had the jerk chicken which was awesome. The prices are not that bad at all. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AS WELL!!

Glad this Food truck decided to make its way onto Tinker. I think there was a slight issue with the time it took to get food out to customers (15 minutes) but with only one cook and one taking orders I know there's not much they can do. I could tell they were making the orders to go and weren't pre-prepared meals. The menu offered a good variety of meals too, oxtail, chicken, ribs, rice plantains and different drinks. I ordered the Spice Wing meal which came with 5 wings, rice and peas, and plantains. The wings were good, I felt they could've been "crispier" though. Flavor was pretty good, but I've had jerk wings before that were more flavorful. If 5 wings aren't enough, you can add a wing $1 per additional wing. The rice peas and plantains were decent also. Overall, decent, I'll order again and I really enjoy them coming out to Tinker.

Coming from a Jamaican family who was raised in Jersey/NYC, I thought after 4 years of living here I would not find any authentic Jamaican food. Happy to say I was wrong! Thanks to Google and yelp, I came across this hidden gem, the Jamaican Thunder (a food trunk). One might be cautious when thinking of Jamaican food and a food trunk, but they nailed it!!I had curry chicken, rice and peas, and plaintains. My total was $10, which for the portion given, I thought was excellent (you can pay by credit card btw). The curry chicken had a delicious flavor and was not spicy. The rice and peas was so good and not a "gummy" texture. Customer service-usually my fellow islanders aren't the most talkative bunch but the owner was friendly and engaging. If you go to their facebook www.facebook.com/jtfoodtruck/ or visit their website jamaicanthunder.com you can view their schedule to determine where they will be located.Definitely will be returning customer!

Wow. This food truck is amazing! I had the oxtail plate for $15 and I was not disappointed. After visiting a soul food restaurant in Fort Worth and having oxtails I was very interested in finding a similar option inOKC. Yelp never lets me down with the suggestions and after I saw this place I had to have a try. I went out for oxtail Friday this last week and it was so delicious! I liked them on Facebook and I will definitely be back!

I was so happy to catch these guys the other day after work. They just so happen to be at the corner of 10th and Douglas some days, which is so close to my job (and in the evening!).I ordered nearly everything off their small menu. Small is not a bad word here. Even with a few items available, it was difficult to choose what to get. So... that may be why I got a majority of what was offered.Jerk chicken (3/5, per my boyfriend who I ordered it for): He did enjoy it quite a lot. He expects jerk chicken to be spicy, so he was a little disappointed that it wasn't. But it was very tender and juicy. JJ provided two different sauces for the jerk chicken, which he described as good but they didn't do much for the flavor of the chicken itself. He much preferred my dish, which was...Brown stew pork chops (4/5): This dish was a hint more spicy than the jerk chicken, but it was mild enough that even a wuss like me was able to enjoy it. It was juicy and flavorful and fall off the bone (I know this because there were a few hunks of meat on the bone and they slipped right off). This dish went really well with the rice and beans it comes with: speaking of which...Rice and beans (4/5): Rice and beans comes with every meal and from what I got, it was a very generous portion. The rice was perfectly cooked along with the beans. The flavor was mild and subtle. It would be good on its own but it pairs really well with the entrees to not overpower them.Plantains (5/5): Each meal also comes with plantains... but I ordered extra because PLANTAINS. Bananas suck. Plantains are great. These were cooked well and sweet ans savory and not like chips and not big and mushy either. Perfect. Makes me miss Mama Sinmi's more!Festival (3.5/5): So festival is like... a sweet dough. Sort of like a dumpling but desserty without actually being super duper sweet. It's some good bread and $1 each.Strawberry punch (5/5, per the boyfriend): My boyfriend really enjoyed this, which is probably a good thing since I got this on for him and mango for me. It's good! What more do I gotta say?Mango punch (5/5): Between the two, this was my favorite. It wasn't sickeningly sweet like a lot of mango drinks are, so that was really nice. It was so refreshing. I want this on every hot summer day.I spent about $30 on all this food. There was SO MUCH. Plenty for leftovers.SERVICE (5/5. 10/10. A+++): These folks are so nice. Informative, talkative, and all around pleasant. I need these guys to stick around!

Stopped here on Memorial Day because they seemed like the best deal for our $$. But we got more than we ever expected. First rate friendly service and amazing food. Got the chicken meal and rib meal to share between 3 of us. Plenty of food to satisfy as well as of the charts flavor. Even the beans, rice and plantains had a ton of flavor. My 4 year old couldn't stop eating!!!If you see their food truck out there, do yourself a favor and try them out. You won't be disappointed.

This place is a good option for Jamaican food in the OKC metro area. I had the curry chicken, veggies, and rice and beans and it was good. I will be visiting them again and trying the oxtails.
