Hunan Village

This is one of my favorite Chinese Buffets mostly because I grew up on it. It is exactly what you'd imagine a Chinese Buffet to be like. If you go during off hours, the food probably will be a little older but food waste is something they really have to think about. I think everyone has a different version of what western Chinese Food tastes like but for me, this restaurant is a weakness lol

This place used to be pretty good. Typical Asian buffet. However, the last 2 times I've gone the food has been horrible. Some items were so bad they were perhaps rancid? Other items were so very dry, and overcooked, like how many days has it been under a heat lamp or in a hot bath? I'm trying to think of anything I enjoyed eating... nope, nothing is coming to mind. Oh, I know! The soy sauce was fine!! If you want a good buffet .... do NOT go here!

This place would not get an over all 4 normally but for what it is (a buffet) it's one of the better ones that I've been to. I don't typically like buffets. This one did seem fresh at lunch. They have a lot of awards hanging on the wall. A drink comes with the buffet. There were a couple of unique items like the Chinese salad, a nice balance from all of the fried food. One odd thing is that you pay ahead of time, but you can order off a menu. Over all for a small town, a good option.

This restaurant has horrible management. I asked for a menu to order a plate, as I am unable to eat buffet. Lady says we only have one menu...you pay first. I explained, I would like to see a menu first, as I had never ate here before. She was adamant that our group pay first. The rest of of our table was eating buffet, so I wait at the table for the menu to make it back to our side of the restaurant. Lol, I've never been to a legitimate restaurant and told to pay without seeing a menu before I could be seated. If it were a fast food restaurant or a buffet only place, I could understand but this was a first.

Food no good, Sloppy and messy all the time. No go there no more until they know how to run a business.

The service was shitty. And the food wasn't cooked all the way. The waitress didn't get our plates for 15 minutes after we were done. She sat and played on her phone almost the entire time. Highly don't recommen

If you're from anywhere near the big international cities and just visiting AR for family.. dont eat here -.- This place is horrible. The service was horrible, they didnt even want to talk to my family and I. I hate being that person especially because I used to love this place they had THE best food about 8-10 years ago. I called to check pricing before we went and the guy said "$30 even for 2 adults" we got there and charged us $38 because they go ahead and include a tip Incase you don't tip. Service was very good but was very slow to take our plates (we also went while there was maybe 4 other cars, so they were not even busy), the food was either cold, stale, or very unflavored, the sushi was actually very good, the fruit was either old or not even ripe, and please don't get ice cream it had mold specs in it, the ice had dirt in it, a lot of the plates had hair on them or just weren't clean at all, idk what happened to their service and quality over the years but it's not worth it anymore.

When I walked in the place is nice. Service was great. First time I had to pay first ($18) was not impressed with the food. Most of the food I tried was not flavorful and the what they called chicken was not chicken. The texture was not the same. Sushi was good enough to get seconds. Food made my roommate and I not feel well afterwards. I see why they charge first. Worst $18 dollars i spent. Will not go back.

While the service was good and the food was okay, my complaint stems from the ambiance. My dad is a Vietnam Veteran and was recently approved for a service dog to help with his PTSD. My parents were regulars to this restaurant, and they were so excited for the dog to help my dad they repeatedly told management to expect him to be there with a service dog. Management okayed it, but when my dad brought in the actual service dog, management created a scene. My dad, who has suffered for years with PTSD by fighting for his country, did not feel welcomed at all; moreover, he felt embarrassed due to management making a fuss over a situation they already verbally approved! I am here to warn any veteran to stay away from this restaurant; do not waste your money on it. It is deplorable how they treat veterans, go somewhere else where you are appreciated. To all veterans reading this, thank you for your service! I hope people treat you as royalty because we would not be free to post these types of reviews without your service and your patriotism.
