Hog Tide Bar-B-Que

I did a favor for a good friend in Aurora. She treated me to Hog Tide! We did not eat there but I went inside to get a feel for the place. Such a great BBQ, laid back atmosphere! The pick up order was ready when I arrived. The food was so tasty! BBQ'ed chicken sandwich, YUM! Paired with loaded baked potato salad. I think I owe my friend another favor!!!

Made it back to this place today....and I never get tired of the place. And their ribs - easily - the best ribs around! The perfect chew. Nice exterior and plenty of moisture in the meat. Top notch place for BBQ!

Probably would go 4.5* but couldn't go down to 4, so I rounded up.Well put together environment that feels both professional yet genuine. 4.5*Friendly and helpful service. 5*Priced fair 5*I had the burnt ends. A bit overcooked, and some were on the dry side. Smothered in sauce, which I didn't like. Exceptional smoke and flavor, though. 4*Side of coleslaw. Needed seasoning something fierce 2*, but once i added salt and pepper, I would give 4*Mac and cheese was nothing special. Pretty straightforward shells and cheese. Too runny imo. 3*I liked their "spicy" sauce. 4*

Wish I could give it 6 stars. I've eaten at the majority of the BBQ spots in the area and this one is easily top 3. Flavor, customer service, and atmosphere.I only had 1 of the sauces, but the one I did have was sweet and delicious and I generally gravitate towards a spicier sauce. I had chicken, sausage, and brisket all of which were cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. The sides I got were beans and mac & cheese. Both top tier in their category.One of the things I noticed the most about Hog Tide was the customer service. The gal taking orders greeted everyone with a smile and a great attitude. If you want to take a little drive west of republic for a great meal and experience stop on out to Hog Tide.

It was fine. I think they were having a rough morning the day we were there. The ice for the drinks came in the back door 20 minutes after they opened, so clearly it was a bit of a scramble for them.The meats were good. Not the best I've ever had, but within striking distance of the BBQ joints I frequented in Texas. The sides were a letdown. Some of it was that they were a different style than I prefer, but there was plenty of opportunity for better execution, too.

Best BBQ around with friendly service. Huge menu with reasonable prices. Clean, up kept. My favorite BBQ place!!

I was really excited to try this today after reading the reviews but we left disappointed. We both ordered the two meat platter and got the smoked sausage and the smoked turkey . The meat was not hot and my onion strings were very greasy . They had good flavor at first but as they cooled my mouth was coated in grease , and I could see they were coated in grease when I put them in the to go container .

One of our favorite places near Monett. The service is only surpassed by the quality of the food. Enjoyed nachos and wings to start and then enjoyed some good bbq.
