Heartland Pub and Grill

Decided to try for first time, reviews not great but we wanted to see for ourselves. Service was great. Thanks Adri, you are awesome. Theta burger and Reuben were delicious. Fries are thick and cooked perfect. Atmosphere was very nice...many TVs so watching Olympics was nice. Only con is Rye bread on Reuben was dry, only the crust.

This was an interesting experience. Schools in the area were closed due to possible severe weather. I had a fundraiser coupon card for Heartland Pub and grill. I initially had my reservation because I didn't know if it was a family friendly establishment (smoking allowed or not, no kids menus etc) To my surprise... They didn't allow smoking inside - YAY. ** Also Tuesday was kids eat free night. Lucky day!? Maybe so ..We were greeted and seated promptly. Amanda was our server and she was a sweet as can be. She checked on us frequently and even interacted with my daughters. They loved that. The music blaring in an empty restaurant is definitely ear catching as I heard explicit lyrics from 2 Live Crew and Afroman coming the bar jukebox. It was strange to hear that in a public place so loud. I thought at first it was from the kitchen so I asked. Our server said yeah they are playing that music in the bar area. She mentioned her country George Strait was playing over in our area... I couldn't really hear that. Not a worry too much..our girls didn't pay much attention to the louder explicit music.Food choices - the girls had sliders and catfish. Both of which were super tasty and my oldest daughter said "this catfish is fantastic dad!!!" I was pleasantly surprised.My wife and I split the Chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes, & green beans. We ordered the gravy on side... But the kitchen may have missed that note. We also added a side of sauteed mushrooms, and fries onion rings. The onion rings never made it... So I had the server make sure it wasn't on our final ticket. The chicken was good and the mushrooms were decadent! Mashed potatoes needed a little help... We still ate our meal in it's entirety. All in all I was ambivalent on the overall experience. Not sure if I can talk the wife into trying them out again or not. We do live in the area so maybe it's a chance!?The decor and the staff are definitely trying to make it comfy and cozy. I've only had the Chicken Caesar Salad and The Heartland Chicken but they were both really good. If Serge still cooks there that man knows how to grill chicken to perfection! Most of the time the bartenders are great but the wait staff seems to be a different issue as well as never knowing if the place is closing early or not. I did have a large party there one evening and the owner and Daren made sure we had everything we needed, so that was a big plus. So, if you catch them on a great night it's spectacular!

I'm not a fan of their food. But I like their drink prices. I always sit at that bar. The bartender and staff seem nice. I've never been when it's crowded, on purpose.

Togo order took over 25 minutes, bartender was the one that helped us. She continuously hit her vape in front of guests, didn't care to check on our Togo order. Ended up having to ask another worker if it was ready, and sure enough it was just sitting in the kitchen... definitely do not recommend

Was hoping to try this spot for lunch today. Stood in the doorway for a while waiting to be seated and while people looked at me, no one acknowledged me. A couple approached me and told me they had been waiting a lengthy amount of time for the food they ordered and were leaving without receiving it...I left with them. Not a good first impression.

Great place to gather before the game, wide variety menu, good food. I've also had food delivered from Heartland Grill and the family was very pleased.

Moved to Colony Pointe recently and this place has excellent service and food was even better. Meals: Chicken Caesar wrap and chicken fried chicken were excellent.

My feet stuck to the floor when I entered the restaurant. Bad smell ...Maybe sour mop water.Tried this place because of location.. met a friend. Ordered a hamburger and sweet potato fries.I thought you probably couldn't mess up a burger. I was wrong. The fries were not hot. Burger was tough and flavorless as a boot. Will not be wasting my money again.

Had a great time and great food with Kindra and Leanne! A great spot off the beaten path. Non smoking bar and grill, events in the evenings. Found my watering hole!
