Happy Family Chinese Restaurant

Chinese food is my favorite kind of food in the whole world. This is the cheapest and worst takeout Chinese I've ever had. It was bad 15 years ago and it's still bad. They leave the chicken sitting out in a plastic tub on the counter all day and then use it when orders come in. Very unsanitary. The last time we came here we all got sick. You get what you pay for I guess. Honestly, this place feels like a front for something else. The only good thing I have to say is that their wonton soup was decent.

If I could give the food a negative 5 star rating I would. They were nice and polite, but the food quality is absolutely the worst I've ever had.I ordered food for a family of three and every last dish was flavorless. The Kung Pao Beef had almost no beef, no peanuts and no spice. The Orange Chicken tasted dry and the orange sauce was obviously from a can. The hot and sour soup tasted like dirty dish water!The Crab Rangoons tasted like they were cooked yesterday and then reheated. I had one and tossed the rest. When you're looking for Chinese Food, DO NOT order from here because and your family will definitely NOT be happy!

This is our absolute favorite Chinese take-out in Norman! We've been eating their mouthwatering food from Happy Family for nearly two decades and I don't believe we've ever had an incorrect order. Their egg rolls, fried rice, egg foo young, egg drop soup, and entrees are all great!

Terrible food! Order was overcooked and very greasy! Also order had 2 items missing, not to mention I was shorted on my change!

It doesn't earn a single star. I've been getting Chinese here since 2017; tonight was a total waste of 8.00 plus tip. Egg Rolls were meat instead of just veggies without cabbage (love cabbage), double fried to reheat and burnt edges, egg drop soup was deep golden rod broth and almost zero eggs stirred in. Chicken Fry Rice where wing size pieces of chicken, rice, no veggies, no sesame oil, peanut oil, dry without any favoring (surprise I got a lg instead of a small the way thrown together makes sense. Oil is way past time to change. Toss out. Never again.

I haven't eaten here in a long long time. I used to go here with my family a lot. Today I ordered the sesame chicken, fried pork wontons, and an extra egg roll. The food was great. Exactly what you would expect from an establishment small like this place. The chicken was cooked to a great crispy but tasty consistency. Egg rolls were on point and I really liked the pork wontons. Great job. I am enjoying my food and wood recommend takeout.

Great fast service and typical chinese food you would expect from anywhere else! Plus amazing prices for the quantity! I really enjoy getting a to-go order from this Mom and Pop shop.

I ordered the King Po chicken, it had no taste to it, there was no sauce with it which made the rice bland, I did not taste any seasoning, this is truly the worst King Po I have ever had in town, and why is the chicken breaded, looks they used frozen chicken chunks. Save your money go somewhere else.

They used to be a great place and I usually order a pretty good amount but lately the quality has gone down. The chicken is dry or maybe reheated. The rice has barely any meat in it. I think we will be finding a new place.
