This was our second visit... the first time we went the owner was there and the service was great! Food was hot (that was supposed to be hot) and fresh! Now... that brings us to this last visit...Walked in... must have interrupted an intense conversation between coworkers because the lady that seated us and greeted us seemed very rushed to get back to the conversation. Tried taking our drink orders before we were even close to her or our table... within a minute of us sitting down she was trying to take our order, which is fine that we weren't... asked if we needed a few minutes and but then never coming back... she was standing in a group of 3 coworkers by the To-go order area, had to flag down the attention of someone in the group because she had her back to us, she turned around and rolled her eyes... took our order... and unfortunately the sushi was much warmer than you'd expect from sushi and the fried roll we got... you could VERY much taste the oil, unlike before. Idk it was quite a different experience when the owner was around... I hate leaving reviews like this... but for $90 plus tip for food for 2 adults and a child, it wasn't great.

Han has a new home, still on 32nd St. Located in the old Hickory Smoked meat and BBQ shop. We are glad they moved. The old place was too small and sometimes we came in and left because of a lack of seating.The decor is simple and trendy like I'd find in San Francisco or LA in the business district. Not overdone and has lots of seating. Han the man has hired more staff and they are learning the menu and the new items. We liked everything we tried including some new noodle bowls. To be honest, I miss the other sushi place on 32nd that closed during the lockdowns. Hans has always been our second choice between the thin menu and the small dining room.Now with the expanded menu and space, we are more likely to come more often. Still, I hope they can bring their prices down, lunch at Han's is very expensive for Joplin. I think for the cost the quality should be better, it still some of the best sushi in town. And try the new bowls, I'll be back for those, very tasty!

I'm between a rock and a hard place with this spot. Nice people, service, but to get my food took forever and the price doesn't match the meal. I'm not partial or angry in any way, but something seemed off. Positives: Owner Seems Nice, Servers seem very nice, hellraiser flavor was good.On the other side:1.) Long Wait Time: Took about an hour from when I sat down to when I got two rolls. Some drama was going on in the kitchen, and I'm not even sure what happened. Maybe they ran out of rice, idk. Between all that, they for sure ran out of ice (not rice lol) because they went to refill my drink while I was waiting on the second roll. And, the server told me they had no ice. 2.) The fried roll was pretty meh and oddly cold for being freshly fried. How is that possible? The hellraiser on the other-hand was packed with flavor, which I found surprisingly good. The only issue with it was that the roll slices were falling apart because it was so large. That's partially my fault, so that's not a knock on them. 3.) Lastly, I think it's overpriced. Maybe that's an issue to source fresh ingredients? Idk. I was just a high-end sushi place the night before with two rolls/sake/tea and they were at about the same price. Maybe it was because I was in Springfield? Idk. But, I thought Joplin would be less expensive for this kind of sushi. Side Note: Ambiance seemed oddly out of place. Just seemed like a place you'd go after a teeball game with kids to get cheap pizza and a coke. Overall, I don't know if I'll come back. BUT I do wish them all the best and hope them success. I really hope it grows and evolves.

Went here on a recommendation from the hotel. Overall my entire experience here was a bit odd. Echoing the reviews I was reading while waiting to place an order- the people are nice, but between the lack of ambiance, service, and food, it's not a recommend from me.

Terrible sushi. They lean heavily on rolls to hide the fact that their fish is subpar. The sushi chefs are not very skilled at at cutting fish for sashimi. Sadly is place is the best sushi place Joplin as to offer. On a positive side the service was good, and the place was clean.

I met my family after work for my daughter's birthday. I had got her a card cookie from The Great American Cookie Co. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a rude man that yelled at me that I can't bring outside food in. I said we are not going to eat it. He began to yell at me again that I couldn't have it in there. Wouldn't even let me get a word in other wise. I brought it in for my daughter who tuned 7 and didn't want it to melt in the truck. We were not going to eat it, again. The waitress apologized for his behavior. Had he asked nicely I wouldn't be leaving a bad review. My husband had already order drinks and appetizers or I would have got up and left. That man completely ruined the evening and they will not be getting our business ever again. We are huge sushi lovers. I don't even know where the man came from. Looked like he was the dishwasher for all I know!
