Hammontree's Grilled Cheese

Never disappoints, Brie's company is my favorite. When I'm in town, I eat here first.

Went for dinner on a very busy Friday around 730 with 9yo daughter. The restaurant was on a wait, no big deal it's Friday night. We were seated on the patio as we requested after about a 10 minute wait. Great so far. Our server was the person who seated us and took our drink order. She returned quickly with our drinks, beer for me, sprite for the kiddo. We were ready to order so we went ahead. The food came out quickly considering how busy it was. Service could not have been better all around and I gave a generous tip in appreciation. The reason for 3 stars was the food. I ordered the El Chupacabra, DD got a simple sandwich off the kids menu. Our bread was dry like toast not a grilled cheese. There was basically no butter on the bread. The portion of meat was skimpy, i couldn't taste the manchego cheese at all (one of the reasons I ordered it). The pork was lacking flavor and I couldn't taste the mole either. It was very basic. I was super hungry, and was enjoying the patio and it was busy, so I didn't complain and ate my food because the beer was making me hungrier. So in conclusion, I have the utmost respect for anyone who can run a successful restaurant on Dickson street, but the food was just meh for me. I'm very disappointed because I was really in the mood for a good sandwich ( which is lacking in Fayetteville). I really hope the owner sees this and addresses the kitchen about the mid food.

Second time here and it was great. We both ordered the Pig Sooie, one regular and one gluten free. Appetizer was sweet potato fries and dipping sauce. Everything tasted great. The service was quick and helpful. The setting of the restaurant is in an old building and has a great feel to it.

This restaurant is a family favorite. The food is always fresh and tasty and their piña colada is the best ever. They were out of the mix, but the super mixologist made some more mix for us!

Hmmmmm, no it is not your standard kids grilled cheese. It is definitely an adult grilled cheese but it was missing the golden, crisp on the bread that makes a grilled cheese sandwich so special. All of our sandwiches were a little dry and lacked that toasty, buttery flavor you would have at home. Really scratching my head on this one as I thought it would have delivered.

We went during the lunch rush & it took about 30 mins to grab a table for 3. The hostess Violet was extremely sweet, bubbly & accommodating. Keaton, our server was extremely helpful & accommodating to all our questions as first-time guests. I was able to order a half sandwich w/a side of potatoe salad instead of chips! Perfect! If you want to go lighter, don't pass on ordering the Hummus! Oh my gosh - edamame, toasted sesame seeds & topped with sesame oil! I got the brie grilled cheese with the fig jam. Savory & tasty at the same time! Also, I got a cup of their tomato soup, which went perfectly with the entire meal. My daughter had the Chewbacca, which she enjoyed thoroughly! I also ordered their strawberry cider & enjoyed it to the very last drop. Location is very accessible & parking is ample. They have several tables set up inside & everything, including the bar, is part of the waiting list when they are overly busy! I'm so very glad we waited because it was most definitely the best grilled cheese we've ever had!

Elevated grilled cheese experience.This is not your average 12-year old soup and grilled cheese place. So many choices, so many breads, meats, cheeses and toppings that the choices are endless.I built my own with their wheat berry blend, house cheese, Edam cheese and caramelized onions and grilled apples. It was a like a spin on a french onion grilled cheese and holy cow was it good.Hubby had the White Buffalo which he said was 'awesome' with flavorful chicken, great bleu cheese and tangy sauce.The chips were free with sandwiches and we weren't hungry enough for fries.The server was very friendly and quick. We loved the outdoor seating, it was so nice to be outside. The inside was very cute too, kind of rustic.Give them a try you won't be disappointed.

Holy smokes this was good. So many different delicious grilled cheese sandwiches! We opted to skip the 30 minute wait by eating outside and it was fantastic. Wonderful service, nice view of the outside. Bacon Gouda fries were delicious and the blueberry cheesecake dessert was very sweet.

Quick service. Wide range of food and it's all amazing!! Chill vibes and always a good time!

Loved the food and would definitely go back. Prices are very reasonable too. It's in a great location to walk around for the day and enjoy Dickson St.
