Now Under new ownership. We used the frequent here. This is our first time back in since the new ownership. Service was great (Vicki is precious) Both plates of food were good. We definitely miss the Ozark sourdough bread and as a higher end restaurant we would like to see a weekend "special" like fish or something unique. Love the quaint and quiet environment (glad there was not live music) Overall.. we will be back.

Good food. Excellent service. My wife loved the seafood stew, actually called Cioppino. Our usual slightly up scale location of Divitos/Take 5 Bistro had unfortunately permanently closed so we gave this a try and we were not disappointed! It is a little confusing when you walk past because you can't see the dinning area and it gives the impression they are almost empty, but they seemed to have plenty of business by the time we left.

A long time restaurant is under new management and although I always loved the old restaurant, the new chef (Jeff) and GM, Derrick are doing a first class job along with some great support staff. Food is very good and a solid menu with some creative twists, the drinks are made well and service is stellar, (thanks Rio and Scott). Can highly recommend the restaurant - the ambience, the food and the service are sure to delight. Unfortunately due to "new - again" bad management, I have down graded the restaurant to 2 stars. Recently attended a friends wedding reception and it was literally the worst dining experience I have ever had in my entire culinary life. Never did receive my main course and that's after waiting 4 hours! This was the same for most of the guests, at 10pm. I simply left. The main problem was the way the management handled the problem - by not doing anything...as though they just did not care, it was quite bizarre really - no explanation or communication at all. I know problems can happen such as kitchen issues etc,. but the only reason I don't give it zero stars (which I should), is I am hoping the restaurant does a better job normally. It's a shame, it used to be a go-to place in the town.

My wife and I are Eureka Springs locals who used to go to the Grand Taverne wherever we wanted a really special meal. A few years ago the restaurant changed ownership, and it wasn't the same. Although we haven't been in a few years, we decided to give it another try. I wish we'd saved our money. We both have dairy allergies, so asked the waitress fot help in selecting entrees. She was neutrally pleasant, but completely unhelpful. We finally decided that we could get the scallops grilled without sauce, and rice. When the scallops arrived, there were 5 very small, plain scallops, terribly overcooked, about 2 tablespoons of mixed white and dark rice, and a small portion of steamed green beans. No seasoning of any sort on anything except for 3 small lemon wedges, which I requested. All for $36 each. The waitress did bring our wine, once I reminded her after the food arrived, and it was quite good. No-one asked how our meal was, although the check arrived quickly. We won't be back, nor recommending to out-of-towners

The service and food were great. We were greeted and offered suggestions. The bread and butter came first--fresh, delicious and sweet. We ordered apps, salad and Lobster Bisque to share. We loved the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese and jams. The crab cakes were full of crab and flavor. The flavors of the salad also worked well together. The Lobster Bisque was very rich so it wasn't our fave but worth a try if you like a rich buttery taste. Prices were reasonable for the caliber of food received and seemed in line with other restaurant pricing. The only odd thing or deterrent was a male at one of the tables literally chased after people if the got up from their table to leave without their mask on. We're also mask conscious but these people had seemed to make an honest mistake (I.e. ate dinner with it off and just got up). The male was aggressive and shaming in his approach and made the dinner uncomfortable. It appeared he was the owner or had some tie to the restaurant since the wait staff appeared embarrassed or unable to intervene. Note: Sanitizer and social distancing (also Covid recommendations) were better practiced at the breakfast restaurant we went to.

What a fabulous place! We were having trouble finding somewhere to accommodate our party of 10 and boy, were we lucky to have gotten in here. I wish I would've remembered the host's name, she was fantastic! Our server, Tony, was also a gem. Not only were the people just wonderful, but the food was extraordinary. Two in our group had the lobster, which was huge. One had the walleye and another had the filet Oscar. The rest of us had the 2 evening specials, a Parmesan crusted tilapia piccata and beef tips. Everyone raved about their food and I can personally vouch that both specials were delicious. Thank you for a wonderful start to a very special weekend in Eureka Springs!

No longer Grand Tavern and the menu has changed. Made a reservation for a wedding party and it did not go well. The waiter asked us to leave claiming he was threatened. We called them out for the changes and no update on any of the pages we looked up. Not the way we wanted to end the wedding day of dear friends.

Bobby, our waiter, was absolutely superb. He was the most knowledgeable & attentive waiter or waitress I have had in many years. All the dishes that Bobby recommended were great. The chef did a superior job preparing every item we ordered. He is truly a professional chef.

We made reservations here for our family and friends on our wedding night based on the menu and past experience eating here. When we arrived the menu was 100% changed from the two weeks prior when we made them and we were told there is new ownership and chef as of six months prior. The waiter was completely rude and had words with my husband and then asked us to leave. The chef asked us to stay and gave us a new waitress who was very kind and doing her best to help us with all her other tables. Unfortunately there were several items listed on the menu that they were out of. However, the crab cake we had was delicious. We did not get to enjoy the rest our our meal after the original waiter and owner called the police to have our party removed from the establishment while we were dining quietly and enjoying what we could of the meal. It was the worst experience I've ever had at any establishment and we will never go back here or to the other restaurants that we are told this owner has purchased in Eureka Springs.
