Scam. I should've checked the negative reviews for previous patients before making an appointment. Dr. Sherwood and his wife are just out to make a quick buck. If these people put as much time and effort into helping treat their patients as they do spreading fear and misinformation about covid and vaccines they'd actually be good doctors but they're not. This was an awful experience for me. Aggravating and wasteful. Rude staff and super long wait time. His main concern is selling his books and getting money--which is why visits are out of pocket not through insurance. He has this bizarre and disturbing view of vaccines without any factual accurate basis behind it. This is a pandemic and I guarantee patients are there for medical help and treatment which means they are at risk for covid. But yet he sells them a lie saying not to get the vaccine. I guess you can't get covid if you're dead right? They're charlatans. Stay away.

I'm so glad that I found Dr. Mark and Dr. Michelle at the Functional Medical Institute. After years of going to traditional medical doctors only to have them continually try to push drugs and vaccines on our family, we were literally "sick and tired" of the corrupt medical system. We then heard about Dr. Mark and thought that we would give alternative medicine a try. And, almost immediately my wife and I noticed our bodies were getting healthier. We also lost 20 pounds within the first 3 months and felt better than we have in years. Now, there is no other doctor that I trust to take care of my family. Functional Medical Institue is the epitome of what healthcare is supposed to be. They listen to their patients and use a holistic approach to healthcare. They are not drug pushers which I really appreciate. They don't just treat the symptoms, but instead, they treat the underlying problem. The bottom line is that their methodology works and produces results! If you're not happy with your current medical practice, then I would definitely give Functional Medical Institute a try.

I was diagnosed with Lupus at 23 years old. It was always up and down, some seasons worse than others but when I had a baby at 42 it kicked my lupus into a more severe state. I went from specialist to specialist. They each treated symptoms, voiced concerns, and sent me to more specialists. For five years I continued seeing these specialists but with no results, rather increasingly difficult display of symptoms. Finally I went to see Dr. Michele. She was patient and caring. Six months later I felt like a new person. A year later I continue to walk in wellness. Since then a couple family members have had some health problems and our traditional doctors gave little hope. Dr. Mark and Michele gave hope and effective treatment, and they are now well. I am so grateful for them both.

I am a registered nurse and have been tremendously impressed by the professionalism and care shown byDr. Sherwood and his staff. I have worked in the medicalProfession for over 15 years and have seen the best and the worst. Dr. Sherwood's wholistic approach is exactly the kind of medical care we need in this world! I have seen traditional medicine fail and almost kill both my parents! In fact in actuality they did die as a result of the traditional medical model. It is encouraging and refreshing to see a "wellness and prevention" medical model instead of a disease ridden customer based model where no one is ever cured and the side effects are worse than the disease! Dr. Sherwood was even willing to work with me on an affordable plan as I'm a single mom. I praise God for finding this practice. And send blessings to their practice that they will reach many people far and wide! I pray that this time of practice will become the norm in the U.S. for future generations!

Before you can make a consultation appointment, you are required to watch a webinar. I was unable to sign up for the webinar as the computer simply didn't accept my e-mail (which I have had for decades). I called in to get registered for the webinar and was transferred into a voice mail. No one returned my call or registered me. So, I obtained a new e-mail and got registered. After watching the webinar, I decided to sign up for a visit, which was offered during the webinar for $299.00 (vs. the normal $499.00). Again, the appointment could not be made online although I made multiple attempts. So, I called them to make the appointment. They were happy to take my money first and THEN explained the $299.00 is simply "an establishment" fee - doesn't give you anything whatsoever except being "established." THEN they began explaining the first visit costs. When it got to $799.00, (bringing the cost to $2 shy of $1,100.00), I decided I didn't want to proceed. I requested they void my $299 fee. They would not void my purchase. They did offer a refund but withheld a fee. There would be a few days between when they took my money and gave it back. Anyone see any red flags? I sure did. Bait and switch. Save your time and money and find someone who is actually up front and honest about costs.

At Functional medical institute treat patients the way they should be treated in a warm, caring, non judgmental way. Dr. Michele is very kind and caring physician. I feel that I am having a conversation with a friend instead of a doctor's visit. She diagnosed my early diabetes way before a regular practice would pick up and implemented a plan to prevent it to advance. She treats patients holistically both with nutrition and supplements and if needed medications. I have been in medical profession for almost thirty years but never met a more professional and dedicated physician.

These folks are great. Caring in a way that other healthcare folks aren't. They don't want to keep selling you medicines, they want to find the root cause of your problems and get you WELL! For those whining about "masking", even the CDC admits that it was useless, if not actually harmful. Get over it.

When attempting to schedule an appointment my wife was spoken to rudely and was told she would be required to pay $287.00 to attend a webinar prior to having an initial consultation, during which $100.00 of the webinar fee would be applied toward the consultation fee. She said she wasn't interested in a webinar and asked to schedule the consultation. She was told her appointment could be made but only after all the appointments scheduled during the webinar are completed, which would probably be weeks later. She felt the receptionist was attempting to intimidate her into a process designed to extract money through a corporate designed plan much like traditional medical practices. The rude behavior and the attempted intimidation threw up red flags and most definitely was a poor start to building a relationship. Upon ending the call up my wife reviewed several negative reviews concerning others who have similar experiences. The entire experience created a feeling of uneasiness and lack of confidence in Functional Medical Institute. She left a feedback response on the company's web page to have the reply contradict their representative's narrative. They repeatedly stated the webinar is free with no pressure to proceed. We suspect this reply was offered only to appease the negative comment. The issue of rude behavior was not addressed leading us to believe the attitude toward potential customers is condoned by management. We are thankful to have discovered all this before spending time and money on another corporate scheme designed to extract as much money from people who are venerable due to their dire need for hope of relief. We both are saddened and disgusted but thankful we now know to move on to other providers. This seems to be a classic example of "Buyer Beware."

I was a patient at this office several years ago, and decided to return while I was in town to get a small medical issue checked out. Immediately upon walking in I noticed only one staff member was wearing a mask; this was extremely appalling considering they are a medical office and we are in the midst of a pandemic! Not to mention there is a mask mandate for most businesses. Furthermore, after telling the receptionist my information, she informed me that they no longer accept any insurance -- that I would have to file an insurance claim myself. This was almost more confounding than none of the staff wearing masks! No mention of this policy change was made when I initially called to make my appointment, even though the receptionist was aware that it had been a few years since my last visit. The overall experience left a horrible taste in my mouth. Is this place even a legit doctor's office? They claim to be a holistic health center, but they seem much more focused on promoting their line of supplements and cosmetic surgeries. Definitely steer clear of this place.
