Wanted to give an updated review on Frida since my last review was written over a year ago. I chalked my last experience up to a misunderstanding with the kitchen. I have been back to Frida a few times since then and I will say that the food, service and atmosphere in the restaurant is always consistent. Today a friend and I walked in without a reservation and luckily that had a table available in the back room "the Daley". I really love this back bar area, it's so nice and cozy, perfect for a date night or party. Our server, Dave was fantastic, attentive and very kind. Always making sure our drinks were filled. I loved my Mexican hot chocolate latte! It definitely had a kick but i will be back for another. Ordered my favorite appetizer which is the southwest spring rolls, still they are cooked to perfect, crispy, cheesy and paired with sauces for extra flavor. My friend also loved her breakfast tacos, she subbed them for shrimp instead of chorizo. Thank you Frida for a great brunch!

Service was tops. Staff was very attentive and friendly. I ordered the Chilean Seabass. Very disappointed for a 50 plate, 30 is pushing it imo. Lacking in flavor and greasy/oily beurre blanc sauce, expected more. It's supposed to be made with dry white wine. Fish lacked flavor and needed more greens on the bottom to balance the flavor. All the seasoning was on the last 10-8% of the fish. I will not go again, better food out there for less.

Really disappointed with our experience last night, at what's usually one of my most recommended restaurants in Okc. I recognize it was NYE, but it was no different than any other Friday or Saturday night crowd. We chose to sit at the bar. The hostesses were very polite as usual, and we were quickly seated. The bartenders were very pushy to order food- we hadn't even ordered drinks. So we ordered drinks, but my first drink was made wrong. The bar was only about half full. Our app was very good- had the empanadas. For our entree, we ordered the tamale trio ;which we've had before). It came out just warm and lacked any flavor- really a bad dish. We also ordered the lobster corn risotto...only 3 small pieces of lobster. Overall, a very disappointing experience especially on NYE.

Service was incredible. The menu here is exactly what I thought being southwest cuisine. I tried the redfish with crawfish etouffee. It looked absolutely amazing when it came to the table but it was a little cold. My husband had the ribeye special and sadly it was a little disappointing. It was a thin piece of steak and for the price we were expecting a big thick juicy ribeye. This was our 2nd time visiting Frida's in OKC and still recommend it even though we didn't 100% love our meals. The espresso martini was delicious.

Went for a brunch on a weekend with a reservation. Excellent experience. We were seated quickly and waited on so attentively. We each tried a coffee and different menu item. All so delicious and they were so gracious to offer that if we didn't like it they could make us something else since it was our first time. Will definite be back. The space is open and tall ceilings so it feels fancy if you are looking for that!

Truly excellent cuisine and a super-stylish interior with a cool vibe. Got the tamales, the tuna tartare and the soup of the day (a beef stew of some type). Also their cornbread pieces with butter are incredible - service (at the bar) was also exceptional and top notch. Another highly recommended OKC landmark (in the Paseo District with a lot of other great restaurants).

Ryan was my waiter and if you are lucky enough to have him, you will have the best experience! He was very knowledgeable and personable! The place is very clean and has the best vibes! This meal was literally the best, most amazing meal we've ever eaten. We have eaten here multiple times but the lobster tail stuffed crab was unbelievable!! Perfectly cooked lobster tail, moist crab cake. The pasta with shrimp and pieces of lobster was phenomenal. We also had the Chilean sea bass with a risotto lemon beurre blanc was also perfectly cooked. Our waitress was adorable and attentive. Ask for Arantxa. She won't disappoint!! The atmosphere was perfect!!

We can't get enough of FRIDA! When friends from Tulsa say they're coming to town and where would recommend if they want a really great meal we say FRIDA! And they're always thrilled. Of course, it's even better when they ask if we want to go with them. Which is what happened tonight. What's there to even say? The Burata.... GET IT! With smoked sourdough. Sounds crazy?! You can't even imagine. I got the skirt steak and my husband got the pork chop. He asked for the green beans to be switched out of the chimichuri cauliflower. (I know, tastes as good as it sounds). Well, it came out with the green beans. When our amazing server came out to see how things were I mentioned it. Her response? "Thank you for letting me know" and she brought out a bowl - in a flash. I wish I could love this place as much as everyone else in my circle! This is the third time I've tried the restaurant and every time I walk away thinking the food was just ok. The best meal I have had so far was the skirt steak but even then it was a little salty for my taste. I absolutely love the ambience and friendliness of the staff. I'm just not craving their food as much as everyone else. I believe there are better tasting (and more affordable) restaurants in the area. That's my 2 cents!
