This is a carry out or Delivery place only, there are no tables, there are some chairs to set while waiting for your order. They are fairly quick for we walked in and ordered once there I would say we had our meals in under 20 min. I ordered the chicken Lo mein with NO veggies. My husband got a small sweet and sour chicken and a sweet and sour Pork. We also got. Cheese wontons and fried dumplings. The chicken Lo mein with no veggies was exactly what you would want in plain noodles veggies. The chicken was good, not dried or tough. The noodles seemed to be the thin spaghetti, the coop on the noodles was perfect. The cheese wontons have a small amount of cheese in them. The flavor is great but compared to other places I have gotten the wontons it is mainly the wontons with a small amount of cheese in the middle. Maybe 1/4 of teaspoon of cheese. The clover is great so it would be up to each individual if you like them based on if you want mostly cheese or mostly wontons. I would order them again. My husband mentioned that the pork was too tough but he did like the chicken in the sweet and sour. He said the sweet and sour sauce was good. He tried got the fried dumplings as you can see from my order I'm not much for cooked veggies. The dumplings had beef and veggies. He was not much of a fan but I know he is a very picky on taste. I have lived in the area of this place for 12 years and never tried it. If I remember correctly they have been there since about 1972, so they have been serving Tulsa for over 50 years. To me they have to be good or they would not still be there. I hear from a lot of people that enjoy egg rolls that Fortune Chef has some of the best around. I will definitely order from here again. If you like this type of food I would definitely encourage you to try it out if you have not.

After going to Rice Bowl for quite a while because of terrible experience elsewhere, I decided today I'd give somewhere else a chance. I always take mine to go so I can enjoy it by myself. I decided I o come try this place out. Since I've had awesome service and food at Rice Bowl, I'll compare it to this. I called in my order and it was just disappointing from the get go. The guy sounded annoyed and in a hurry. Didn't even take a name or give me estimated time. I timed it for 10 minutes since most places have theirs ready in about that time frame. I arrived, and didn't even get a greeting. Lady wasn't rude but gave this, "I run this place kind of attitude". Now let's talk about the food. First off, the smell is nice. I think anything fried smells good, anyways, it's just too much breading, it taste bland. Over fried or probably recycled oil because it taste of an old frying oil. Comparing it to rice bowl, I paid about the same price for bland food and it's less. Someone was bragging about the pineapple chicken. I thought it was going to be something special but it's just like orange chicken but pineapple. Would I try it again, maybe. Did it taste good, meh. Price, meh

I have been getting take out from Fortune chef for years. They have some of my favorite egg rolls in Tulsa. In my top three egg roll places for sure. They seem to cook the inside stuffing a bit more than most places. Which I like. They also have really good egg foo young. The patties are thicker than most places. They have good flavor and good gravy too. Lunch specials are a great way to try many different items that they offer. Special luncheon is Tuesday-Friday 11 am-3 pm starts at $5.15.This place is to go only.

This thick and chunky chicken stew is not what I was expecting for an egg drop soup. It was so laden with cornstarch the broth was like jello. Egg drop soup should be a lovely chicken bone broth with eggs swirled in. Cmon people. What you put in your soup jello should be put in the fried rice. Did someone get the recipes backwards?

Fortune Chef has been a midtown Tulsa staple nearly 50 years and tonight was my first visit. The egg foo Yong was the crowd flavorite: Super fluffy and good flavor inside and crispy on the outside with gravy served alongside which is a good balance of savory and slight sweetness which compliments it well. The lo mein is also flavorful with a good balance of veggies and meat. The pea pod beef has a ample amount of water chestnut for a great crunch factor. I'd put this at the top of Chinese take-out places in Tulsa. Definitely go if you haven't been!

Been coming here since 1990 but they have been open since 1970! Some of the best in Tulsa! They're Pork lo Mein is soooooooo delicious with a Smokey pork flavor and tender noodles and the perfect amount of sauce. We also love their unique take on Egg Foo Yung which is the absolute best we've had and judge all others by. Our other favorites are the Lemon Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken and Egg Rolls. I could go on but this is making me super hungry again and they're closed. Be sure to tip them because this family works so hard for us and have for 50 YEARS!

This has been our go-to Chinese take out for years, especially when we haven't been feeling well, but it seems as though there have been some recent changes that we don't care for. Food no longer comes in pint/quart containers but in Styrofoam clamshell containers, which I believe equates to smaller portions. Sweet and sour sauce is now given very sparingly and no longer contains any vegetables. I like to support local but we'll likely go elsewhere unfortunately, which is a bit sad as I'm 62 and have eaten their food since my high school days....

Love this place I wish they were closer to my house but anytime I'm in Tulsa in the area I eat here. Best egg rolls ever. One of those places that does not look like much and is carryout only. But if you have not ever ate here you are missing out .
