Flat Creek Restaurant

This place may be out in a small town....but Flat Creeks original location....and thei me food is great across the board. Catfish is good. But the show stopper is their smoke wings. Big wings that have great great flavor!

Seriously Good eats and great vibe! Wish I lived closer, I would frequent this place. The service was excellent and the food always came out perfect. If you are in the Branson area and want to go for a drive, think about heading to flat creek for some catfish, crab legs and serious dessert.

Okay, I came here to this cute kitschy place with a group expecting there to be nothing on my keto, dairy free, gluten free, no red meat diet ( yes, I'm annoying, I get it.) However, I reluctantly ordered the chicken wings ( asked for them extra crispy with the Cajun sauce) and a side salad expecting a ho-hum meal. To my ultimate SURPRISE, these WERE LITERALLY THE BEST CHICKEN WINGS I'VE EVER HAD in my 38 year old life!!! I can't rave enough about how big, crispy, flavorful, and perfect they were! They had little fat, which was a huge plus too. However you're making these Flat creek, keep doin' it! I'll be back soon for these tasty wings!

Terrific late lunch, great menu with many offerings...had the fried chicken, green beans and mashed potatoes and all were excellent. Chicken was spot on, crispy and seasoned well. Green beans were just like Granny made them. Great vibe..,mix of Broadway Oyster Bar (in StL) and the bar in "True Blood". Had an awesome bar area as well with pool table and great jukebox.

TL;DR: Unusually horrendous service tonight. Destiny did great, everyone else failed her.Currently eating at Flat Creek in Cape Fair, MO. I'm not sure what's going on tonight. Service is usually prompt and the food comes quickly. Tonight, however, they do not have many customers and there was no one waiting to be seated, yet it took probably almost 10 minutes to be seated. After being seated, it took at least another 10 minutes to get drinks (fountain drinks). Our food took over 45 minutes and by the time we received it, some of it like the pulled pork was cold, and others were hard from sitting under the plate warmers. What is sad is that our server, Destiny, was doing a phenomenal job but wasn't really being supported by the rest of team it looked like. Destiny was playing hostess, serving the 3 largest tables of customers, to include our 6-top, sweeping the floor, bussing tables, etc. Meanwhile, the other two servers were only serving. At least one of the other servers saw our food was sitting at the pass for a while and she didn't bother to tell our server or bring the food to us. She just meandered around. The kitchen also did not hit the bell for our server to know the food for her table was ready. Destiny is awesome, but the rest of the staff failed her tonight.

Food is great and the service cannot be better! We have found any item that isn't good. I try to order something different each time

They have lost their quality and service. These guys WERE amazing! They expanded to several other locations, including purchasing and expanding Billy Gails. When they did, they make the mistake many small, quality restaurant owners make. They became a victim of their own success and have lost the quality of their food and service. At best, the location in Cape fair is a 2-star location now. The others, including the Billy Gail locations are 3-star at best for their lunches and dinners. So sad to see what was one of the best restaurants we ever ate at become one of the restaurants that we now avoid.

Ambience is good, service is good, food is not up to the quality of the price charged.

Service was good. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Loved the ambiance. A lot of vintage items. Food was good. The fried chicken was really good. Catfish was good. The chicken tenders were tough to eat.
