This is a review during COVID-19. It had been exactly one year and one month since we had been to a First Friday. I miss it!We specifically were out to attend an event at Living Arts, but wandered around the Arts District afterwards. I always love seeing what on display at 108. Closed. Wood Guthrie....closed. Miss you, Phillbrook downtown. Ended up at the Tavern so all was well. (Elgin Park seemed to be hoppin'.)Looking forward to a "normal" First Friday by the end of summer ?????????

We ventured out last month. Didn't even try this month. So sad. Boutiques and galleries locked and empty. Just recently the CDC lifted some restrictions so perhaps things will be getting back to normal if people haven't gone bust. Only real entertainment was Living Arts & AHA, both charging. Let's hope.

I've attended several First Fridays over the year and look forward to them every month. I love that the museums and art houses stay open later in the evenings so more people have a chance at visiting them. Other shops along Brady also stay open later like Glacier and Tulsa Glass. There is also some sort of performance held at the Guthrie Green stage - I've been lucky to catch a modern ballet put on by Tulsa Ballet and last week was a play, though I didn't get a chance to watch it. My friends enjoy stopping at each museum and art house to peruse potential new displays and artwork, as well as get a drink at the bar :) Antoinette's is always a great stop for a wonderful cookie, slice of pie or brownie!Don't forget to stop at Tavern after 9 pm for their half-priced Tavern burger.

Being 4 years late to party, I guess it's better late than never. With this being in Brady Arts District, it only makes sense. With multiple art galleries, live music & (of course) restaurants, you can't go wrong with this event every first Friday of the month.

One of my favorite Tulsa activities! It's an inexpensive way to engage in the Tulsa arts community. The museums and galleries are free and open to the public from 6-9pm every 'First Friday' of the month. Our path generally starts at Living Arts and continues west down Brady, passing through Guthrie Green for live music and stopping in Zarrow, Philbrook, Contemporary Arts, AHHA, TAC, Mainline and several others. Most galleries serve free snacks and adult drinks for purchase. Once a month, the Arts District basically turns into an open house / street party, and you don't want to miss out!

This event is part of the campaign to revitalize downtown Tulsa and it's doing well. Starting at Elgin and moving down Brady to Main and north on Main, the First Friday Art Crawl has all the businesses in the area as well as an increasing number of street vendors opening their doors from 6-9pm for every one to come by and see what they have going. Whether it's glass blowing or chocolate making there is plenty for everyone to see craftwise. Living Arts opens their doors as do all the other little galleries along the street. There are plenty of places to eat and bars to get an evening libation. It's the first friday of the month.

First Friday is so fun!I love how much downtown has grown. It Is awesome to see so many people enjoying the city.We usually stop by Glacier, the glassblowing studio, then wonder through the museums and galleries. There is always something interesting and different to see. Also, sometimes there are performances at Guthrie Green! The whole family can enjoy the night!

First Friday is a great way to get a glimpse of the creative side of Tulsa. Also, a great way to explore the art district, get your steps in, and think outside the box. The glassblowing place has demonstrations. The galleries and museums have free admission. There are street performers and activities/shows happening on Guthrie Green. There are plenty of fun restaurants, cafes, and bars along the way to grab a drink or a bite.

This is such a great way to get to know Tulsa. There are so many great displays of arts, crafts, music, and food. I love that it is an easily walkable event with so much to offer. There are so many great artists in town and the downtown setting with its colorful murals and deco buildings is the perfect backdrop. If you are in town for the first Friday of he month, definitely make time to attend!
