Firelake Fry Bread Taco

This may not be as authentic as one would imagine, but it absolutely plays the part! The kids up front don't know much in terms of just making it, but they are working and that's really all that matters. The fry bread was delicious and perfectly fried. Not too greasy and not crunchy. It held all the toppings as it should have, but cut through with a fork and knife. The ground bison was flavorful while the green chilis could have been a little better if they were warm. They were good flavor, but they were cold. The prices were very reasonable with $7.99 toppings and $8.99 if you choose bison. By all means it's nothing fancy, but if you are needing a good fry bread; this is it.

Not sure if it was just terrible, or the ones my friend makes are just amazing. The fry bread had only a bland greasy taste.

Food was cold and not fresh tasting. Fry Bread seemed like it was made yesterday or first part of the day. Service was as cold as the food. Was nice and clean seating area with some TVs but I won't be going back.

Yes staff was very rude. It was so cold in the dinning room our food was cold before we finished. Food was just okay. Had a Fry Bread Taco in Sulphur and it would melt in your mouth. Will not go back.

Their Indian Tacos and fry bread are so delicious. They have several types of meat different types of beans and lots of different toppings. Try them out, you won't be disappointed. They make your fry bread to order so it's always fresh.

So my hubby was excited for this on our OKC, he is native and loves Indian tacos but we don't get to do them at home much at all. We walked in and the lady kept looking out the kitchen window. Opened the door several times but never said anything to us. It took her 5 minutes to finally say anything and it was give us a few more minutes. She finally came and acted like we just ruined her day by eating there. She made up our food. Indian tacos are essentially flat bread with what ever topping you want. So yes like the other reviewers subwayish, My husband and son got bison, they loved it said it was very flavorful. I got the ground beef. It was gross! Gross gross gross! I'm glad my hubby enjoyed it. But I wouldn't want to eat there again because of the bad service. New management might change my mind.

The service was horrible. I had a call in order was told when my order would be ready. I had to Hollar after waiting at the counter over 5 minutes. Then some monster female worker came out with filthy trying to hand me a mask with her greedy dirty hands.

In my experience all the food has been freshly made which puts some people off because they're not used to waiting a few minutes for fresh frybread. My opinion? If you're in a big hurry try the slow Sonic down the road. Ambiance isn't much but typically clean and temperature appropriate. We grab one fairly regularly and they always consistently good.

If you want an authentic Indian fry bread taco you have to check this place out. They do a build your own method kind of like subway or chipotle. Meat options even include bison. The prices are good, the service was good and the food was good. I would definitely come again.

Both myself and a friend drove out to Firelake Fry Bread, only after receiving "really good" reviews from a gentleman the gift shop-at First American Museum. Our expectations were HIGH after receiving this rave review! We drove the 40 miles (80 RT) to experience these "amazing Indian tacos".The dining area was freezing cold. We waited several minutes for someone to come from the back. We started looking through the small window to get their attention. Out comes a girl. Very nonchalant, no engagement or excitement about these "amazing" indian tacos we had heard about. COLD fry bread, beans, meat...salsa's were not homemade, just an assumption I had made that would be fresh. As a matter of fact, she told us she "made the best salsa at home". :) The corn soup? was disgusting with grease inside and outside of the containers. Everything about this place was a let down to say the least. The gas and time we spent to drive out there for an indian taco dinner. TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT. Made me wonder if our referral was a family member. We too noticed there were several in the back, that peered through the windows, but never came out! Read the reviews and DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND READ ALL OF THESE LOW STAR REVIEWS. They are not making this up. I hope I save you the gas and time that we spent.
