Finnegan's is a decent watering hole. The good: it's generally less frequented by the undergrad crowd, so the demographic is different from places on the strip. I guess depending on who you are, this may be a good or bad thing. Fairly large number of beers on tap (and bottles/cans) including macro and craft brews. Many of them are larger international brews. They pour full pints for everything so you know what you're getting for the price. For those not drinking, there are non-alcoholic options you can get or that they can make for you. Another pro is you can place an order at Louie's two doors down and have it delivered to your table, and there are also other activities like shuffleboard and pool. Best of all in my book is that there's no minimum to use a card, and it's dog-friendly inside and out.The not-so-good: beer selection does not seem to rotate very much. Given the number of taps they have, there is a relatively small selection of local craft beer. It's also dark and sticky inside and service can be a little slow. But as far as I'm concerned, it's still worth stopping in for a couple of drinks.

This review is for a bar in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Important to keep that in mind during the review.Beer? CheckAlcohol? CheckOff the Strip? CheckNo filled to rafters with drunk undergraduate students? CheckNo Smoking? CHECKThis place was my haven in Stillwater. A place to meet up with friends after a long work week, meet new people, have good conversations, and enjoy a game of pool. The crowd here is eclectic but all looking to have a good time. The beer selection is the best in Stillwater (over 30 on tap) and constantly evolving. The liquor selection is among the best you will find in the area. The prices are CHEAP, even for Stillwater. No food here but the management doesn't care if you bring in food or have it delivered. Free games are available for your enjoyment (darts, pool tables, shuffleboard, scrabble, chess, etc.)You can't go wrong with visiting the Fighting Goat!

Always happy to see nightlife in DT Stillwater improve. Finnegan's is a welcome addition to Main St!Still working a few kinks out with decor and menu but the plus is that you won't come out smelling like smoke.

My friend and I looked like two foreigners at this bar, HA!We came to this place because they had pool tables. Everyone seemed to gravitate around the little fooze ball table which is conveniently show cased by the front window for all to see. No one told us that the pool table was free, so image how dumb we felt trying to shove quarters into the machine. A group sitting close by were staring and didn't even bother to tell us where to find the balls. THANKS Stillwater! It's basically a run of the mill dive bar in a college town. Loved that it's a non-smoking bar. Other then that, nothing special. They have a pretty good list of beers on tap. Two enthusiastic thumbs up for the Boondock Saints poster.

Visited on: multiple dates from 2012 to presentIn the depressingly impoverished ecosystem of Stillwater bars, Finnegan's occupies a unique niche. It's the one bar that isn't:1. a smoking bar, like the ones on the Strip and Stonewall, AND2. expensive, like Zannotti's, AND3. dead inside, like Ibiza. Thus, it occupies a sort of happy medium among Stillwater bars, which is why it's probably the bar most frequented by my OSU graduate student friends. There are some decent drinks at good prices (including the tasty Black Cherry Kool-Aid). There are also free pool and shuffleboard tables. That said, while the bar doesn't allow smoking inside, people can still smoke at the tables right outside the door, meaning that those going inside may have to pass through a cloud of smoke to do so. Also, while the place is definitely cleaner-feeling than Murphy's or Stonewall, it still feels kinda dirty and gross inside; in terms of environment it's not exactly at Zannotti's level.

This is the only good non-smoking bar in Stillwater Oklahoma. Also, great because it isn't a sticky floor bar (fewer black-out undergrad students here). You're served in under five minutes, and your bartender will probably have good suggestions (if you ask). Really, really nice beer selection.

Neat place. Kind of a throwback pub, will be back. Lots of room and cool decor. Pretty quiet when we were there, but was late and weekday.

Gotta love this funky place. A home-away-from-home for thirsty misfits. On any given night you may see college kids, cowboys, bikers, babes, yopros, and old men...it doesn't matter who or what you are here. It's dark, it's weird, there's people shooting pool and a dog in a dress. It's likely you'll walk out of there smiling (or at least happier than when you walked in). Great beer and drink options & friendly bar tenders. 4 out of 5 stars

Great beer bar in Stillwater. Less of a college bar than most of the other bars in the area. I'm in the area several times a year for business and this is where I go to have a few beers. Nice atmosphere, great beer selection, and good location. Pretty bartenders are also a plus.
