I've been dealing with family auto repair for over 20 years, and I've never had a problem. On the contrary, they've always been great to work with, efficient, and reasonably priced. As an added plus, the people are wonderful.

If I could give negative stars I would. Do not go here save yourself the headache. Scott hires these guys that must be getting high on the job bc they completely forgot to tighten my transmission crossmember bolts!! Causing them to strip and then never fixed them properly.

I not usually the type to leave a bad review and they are very friendly people but I dropped my Chrysler 200 off there because it was overheating and coolant seemed to be leaking. They had it two days and kept insisting nothing was wrong with it and charged me $70. The next day I get it and have to pull over because my car is smoking and the coolant was already low again. Turns out I need a new engine because there is coolant, rust, & scoring on the cylinder walls.

Recently took our Rav 4 in to have squeaky brakes checked. We have used Family auto in the past for minor issues with no problems however, this visit was not so good. They informed us that the rotors were warped and scored and needed to be replaced to the tune of $300.00 (front brakes only). I informed the owner, Scott that these had just been replaced a year ago. He insisted the rotors were bad as this sometimes happens. We took our vehicle to a Toyota dealer for a second opinion. The dealership told us there was absolutely NOTHING WRONG with the rotors or pads. We figured If anyone is going to rip us off it was going to be the dealership. We even had them double check to be certain, still got the same answer. We were told the squeakiness was due to using after-market brake pads. Honesty and Integrity go a long way. We will never take our vehicles here again.

I've taken every vehicle I've owned to Family Auto Repair since we moved back in 2003. We are into the third generation running.the shop. Scott was always very courteous and never did anything that wasn't needed and approved. I trusted Scott so much that when I was giving my older Murano to my granddaughter I took it to him and asked him to exam the vehicle as if he was giving it to someone he loved and give me his recommendations.

*UPDATE: Scott finally called to discuss this issue. I was certain he was reaching out to make sure I was taken care of as an important customer. WRONG! He simply wanted to be very clear that they did nothing wrong and all the blame for the miscommunication was obviously on me. That kind of arrogance just cost FAMILY Auto (extremely proud of their customer service, by the way) a customer with five vehicles to maintain!

We had our car towed there several weeks ago. 2 weeks later we towed it home. They looked it over, and first told us they did not feel they could fix it, we might need to take it to the Mazda Dealer because it was the computer ,which we were willing to do, but then he insisted to my husband that he could get a computer and try to fix it. Well he could not, it got to be a maybe this is what it is, may it is that. I do not take my car to a Auto Repair for them to guess. If the could not fix it tell me. The 2nd week there was no communication at all.My husband told them they could try 1 more thing, and if I did not work let us know. Well it did not work, and we did not find out until I went to pick something up out of my car. They did not have the class to call us and tell us. So $1300 dollars later, we towed it home. When I looked in the car on the passengers side, they had left off the cover to the fuse box offand fuses were scattered on the floor, real professional.
