Eley's Foods

This is the kind of grocery store that I worked in when I was a kid, 1957ish. The store is exceptionally clean and neat on every shelf. The weak spot is produce. They don't have enough room and suffer from lack of organics. I like shopping here part of the time.Mel

These people are very nice. This is a small store like the average grocery store back in the day when I was young. On the fluoride, they have high prices. BUT they also have produced and I was pleased to see that. The employees were quite nice.

Want to avoid big box? This is a great option. Local, clean and friendly. No automated self check out. People will answer questions and help you find what you need. Prices are competitive; admittedly slightly higher than big box, but you avoid the crowds and bad attitudes of big chain store workers. No one is at the door enforcing the crazy on you either. I enjoy shopping at Eley's.

Eley's is the best!! This store is always immaculate and the staff are always courteous and helpful. A special thank you to Yulisa and Lisa for always brightening our world with their awesomeness. And, Eley's carries delicious Hansen's eggs from Hitchcock, Ok!!

Eley's is a fine grocery store. I hear it's been around for years and I'm glad they continue to serve the local neighborhoods, mine included. If I don't want to run to Walmart or the nearby Crest, Eley's is perfect because they have everything I need under one roof. The pricing is not as competitive as the other grocery stores, but they make up for it with excellent customer service and having a clean/tidy store. There is never a line to check out your stuff. If there is, they'll open another lane up so you don't have to wait. I notice that the employees always stay busy. No one is ever standing around and doing nothing. The fresh produce can be better, but everything else is good to go.

Sometimes you just need some things and don't want to deal with the hustle and bustle of a large grocery store. That's why I really like coming here. It's quiet and usually has very few other customers. Eley's has your staples, you just may not be able to find more specialty items here. They don't have a large organic or produce section, so don't expect to find that here. Some of their items are overpriced, particularly in the frozen food area, but I don't buy things from that section anyway. That being said, they often have really good sales. The meat section is sufficient as well. The staff is always friendly, and not having to deal with a crowded store makes it worth coming every time.

Eley's carries the basic foods. This is not a speciality grocery store. The store is clean and the workers are friendly. Good place to stop by on the way home. I have never had to wait in a long line.

This is my favorite store! I knew it in high school and have lived in Venice neighborhood for 35+ years. Their meat section is always fresh and they will cut your meat to your specifications. And now they have their alcohol license to sell again!Wah hoo!

I have been shopping at Eley's Foods for over 20 years. If you are looking for a local, convenient and friendly place to shop then Eley's is the place for you. The Managers and employees are always courteous and helpful if needed. They will carry your purchases to your car. I always find first-rate produce, a quality fresh meat market and a large selection of grocery items.

I love the convenience of this store and the consistency in quality all together. Their produce is impressive, the workers are extremely helpful and it's like taking a step back in time to when you'd go grocery shopping with your parents. The store is always clean and pleasant to be in. I don't mind the slightly higher prices for the experience.
