Always on the journey for authentic Mexican street food, and this place is an absolute destination for such cuisine with a California twist. What does that mean? Instead of Tex-Mex that relies heavily on cheese, refried beans, and slow simmered meats. Cali-Mex takes full advantage of the live fire grille and fresh ingredients. El Super Taco has it all, and although the area might not be a heavily travelled by some, this destination should be on your list. Go through the drive-thru and enjoy a chat with Barbara or her less attractive brother Oscar Both of them are a delight and serve with a smile. #eatthelocals

This is true Mexican food. It is not fancy or amazing but it is exactly what I expect if I we're to sit down and eat at a restaurant in Mexico. Served on styrofoam plate and cups and you can order a beer with your meal. The location, I will give 1/5 stars. If you are intimidated by Black people, homeless or anything like that, then choose somewhere else. My family and I had absolutely no trouble with anyone there but we travel a lot and are used to these types of restaurants/environments. I picked this place because of the surrounding locations and businesses. The PRICE was extremely reasonable. I fed two grownups and a nine year and a beer for $26.00. Everything is very affordable and the most expensive thing on the menu was the carne asada plater (I had Al Pastor) which came out to be under $10.00.

Update: I recently went back to this place and the food was worse than before. The steak taco meat tasted bad...yuck! To the owner of this business: I want to love this restaurant because I come from Southern California where authentic Mexican street tacos are a staple food. Your food is average, not the worst, but, not the best either. However, I think you have what it takes to up your game. For example, you get points for making homemade rice & beans, BUT, they lack flavor. If you think Oklahoman's are spice phobic, add some salt. Better yet, blend them with some sautéed onion, tomato, a pinch of jalapeño and watch the flavor pop out. I ordered a few different things to give your restaurant a fair try. I ordered a bean and cheese burrito, carne asada taco, shredded chicken taco and rice. Here is what I thought:Chicken Taco: shredded chicken slow cooked in a tomato/onion sauce topped with ice burg lettuce, shredded cheese and wrapped up in a soft tortilla. This was my favorite item from this trip. You did good with this item.Carne Asada Taco: I liked that the meat was pre-seasoned but the meat was kind of dried out. Some of the best street tacos from Cali marinate their carne asada in a spicy beer bath. You might want to try the same. I liked that you grilled the corn tortilla. You should offer more raw onion and cilantro on top of the taco and provide a dried chile salsa with medium heat to finish it off. Rice: Obviously, your rice is homemade. I found it fixed my carb craving and the fluffy texture was perfect. However, the flavor was lacking a little bit here. I'd spice it up with a smidgen of salt, lime juice and fresh cilantro to kick it up a notch. Bean & Cheese Burrito: Mexico's version of the grilled cheese sandwich. If this was the first B&C for me...I'd forego in the experience going forward . Listen up, you gotta grill the tortilla! I got a bite of way too much stale lifeless tortilla. You need to use a good salty Mexican farm cheese like Cacique. Leave your homemade beans with a little more texture to show their made from scratch. One more thing, don't skimp on the cheese...nobody wants a bland stale bean burrito. If you heed my criticism and take steps to make these changes...I promise you'll begin to see your restaurant business take off. I have a friend in Cali who went from one single taco truck to several business locations throughout his county. I'll check back in a couple of months to see how you've faired. Wishing you success...because after all, I take pleasure in eating deliciousness.

El Super Taco is el super good in my books. I've frequent many authentic Hispanic joints back home in SoCal and this one here in Tulsa is pretty legit if you don't want to drive to the East to hit up a taco truck or restaurant. Hard to find California Fries in Tulsa, only a few places have that item here. Their portions are generous. I never rate by pricing because what's the point in that if the food is good, it's worth every penny but don't worry the pricing here is decent! If you can get over the dangerous location, this place is good. We've tried the quesadilla, it's good. If you're lucky they will have chocolate flan, highly recommended.

It is a good place for some quick tacos. Good not great. Yes it is true I have become a street taco snob. Tulsa has much better places. The meat was kind of bland on my Carne Asada mini tacos. The grilled chicken mini tacos are a bit better.

This is my go-to place for a delicious and affordable Mexican meal! Best chips in Tulsa! Seriously, they are so fresh and delicious. I also love the carnitas taco, but everything I've tried has been pretty good. I crave this place constantly. Eat here!(My only wish is that they would use less styrofoam, since it's so bad for the environment.)

I have been looking for a California style burrito. The tacos in Tulsa are plentiful and delicious but I haven't been able to find an edible burrito. El Super Taco to the rescue!I got the green chile regular burrito and carne asada super burrito and both were tremendous. I'm going back today for the carnitas. My only complaint is that it does not come wrapped in aluminium foil. It is sadly wrapped in paper and served in a styrofoam container, no bueno. :( This is not Tex-Mex. It is the type of Mexican food I would expect from a Mission Taqueria.

Small local taco spot. Good tasty seasoned food, quick service!! Good size helping, the wet burrito with seasoned ground beef was loaded up and delish. No free refills and taco sauce is extra just FYI. But good little clean smelling hole-in-the-wall place.

The reviews and pictures made this place look extremely good, however, that was not the case when I ate here. The tortillas were undercooked, the enchilada sauce was cold and nasty, and the rice was very mushy and salty. The soda machine was also down so we couldn't get a fountain drink. I had high hopes trying "California style" for the first time but this was not it. I hope it's much better actually in California. I don't recommend eating here if you want an authentic Mexican meal.

This is a hidden gem. It's not where one might go looking for great Mexican food, but they sure have it. Friendly service and everything made fresh. The Asada fries keep us coming back, but I haven't had anything bad here. Great tacos and burritos. Word of warning though: The dining room closes at 7:00, but the drive thru is open until 8:00. Give it a try!
