HIDDEN GEM!!!The best food next to my son's family in Honduras!!!That soup was so creamy good with the coco de leche little sweetness. Ohh I could drink that bowl broth !! Especially with this cold I have .Mmm I'm so full I can't breathe as I'm typing this!!! Homemade tortillas and yes the Papusas were so soft and full of queso and the salsa spicy enough and the cabbage just right!!!Quick service but quality food!!!!! I was so happy leaving and will be back for more Honduras cuisine!!!Small dining area but most people had to go orders so I would say plenty of seating!!!

"If it looks good eat it!" (Andrew Zimmern)I don't speak or listen in Spanish, but I have never gone hungry in a restaurant that has the menu printed only in Spanish. If it has pictures, I can point....Catrachitas came to the table first. Okay let's stop right there. This is where the you request the salsa. I asked the waitress for salsa picante. She went back to the kitchen and after a few minutes brought out a small bowl of spicy deliciousness. It went perfectly with everything we ordered. The catrichitas were small fried corn tortillas, with a thin layer of beans and the grated Mexican cheese on top [cotija]. Very good.My wife chose the Pinchos de Camaron. Shrimp skewered with peppers and onions then grilled, beans, salad, thin sliced plantains and a dipping sauce. She raved about the textures, how the flavors complemented each other and freshness. The salsa worked well too!I had seen a picture of the Tacos Hondureños and could not get past it. Three corn tortillas, filled with shredded chicken, sliced green pepper and onion then deep fried, fresh cabbage on top, dressing and pickled onions. Add the magic salsa and it was perfect.Last comment about the food....the plantains were cooked just the way I like them , thin and crispy!A small, modest, little obscure restaurant. They do now accept credit cards! The current menu is posted with this review date.Recommended!

I have nothing to compare this cuisine to since this is my first time to try Honduran fare. This place is amazing! The staff is so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going back. The menu is in Spanish so be prepared to Google the dishes if you can not read Spanish. The entire place smells so amazing and everything that we tried was so fresh. Wish is could give this place and their amazing staff 10 stars.

Homemade Honduran food near E. 21st & Memorial. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I like the small setting, as fresh food is prepared so you smell it while waiting. A wonderful "keeping culture local" while expanding food cultural awareness, El Rincon is where I go to treat myself during lunch. It is a ca$h only establishment, but yet to eat something I would not eat again

Started off with the baleada and it did not disappoint. It's a simple dish but easy to get wrong. Every aspect was on point, what a delight. We also had the carne asada meal which was also delicious. The only thing I was surprised by was that with the meal we didn't receive a side of "crema"and a tortilla. However, it did come with Tejadas. it could be the region of Honduras they're from. Everyone is different I'm just not accustom to it. But they were able to satisfy my need and provide a side of crema and tortilla. I'm so excited to come here again. Worth the drive from Arkansas for me. The staff were very diligent and personable and the owner even came out to greet and ensure it was all to a good standing which is was!

Very good food! Lots of cheese and meat. Probably not a place for vegans. The baleada was good. Friendly service and they have someone in back that can speak English. Pay in cash.

Excellent service and meal from start to finish! Order the Chica Cokes, Carna asada baleada, and chicken tacos... the meat was tender and cooked perfectly, and the green picamas salsa complimented both dishes without too much heat. Big portions. We'll be back! CASH only.
