The only thing I ordered were the nachos. Nachos are not that difficult to make very tasty yet somehow these were very flavorless with very little toppings. It definitely needs more cheese and a pico or something for it. Our server Eddie was really great! The ambiance is inviting and cozy

Finally a Mexican restaurant that makes huevos rancheros for breakfast!!! Rancheros sauce was very good, not spicy at all. Just how I like it.Hubby ordered two chalupas ala cart One with asada and one with chorizo.We will come back and try more from their menu

First time visiting! A little hard to find with the busy and crowded area. Good parking and seated immediately for lunch. Great menu with lots of choices. I ended up with Huevos Rancheros as it's one of my favorites. It was made a little different than the dish made in the area Im originally from in California but it was very good! Everyone at our table loved their food and it all looked fresh and yummy! We will return! Thanks for the great service! Kudos to your kitchen and chef!

Best Tex Mex in NWA! Loved the Mexican short ribs and great chips and salsa. You get three salsas and like any authentic Mexican restaurant, the chips and salsa are complimentary. Definitely order some queso though! It's delicious! It's clean and we always have good service. Everyone is friendly and the location is easily accessible with good parking.

We drove by once and missed the place. It was dark, and it's off to the side in a strip mall, so easy to miss. First impressions are good, as they are clean, bright, and very open. Wait staff were polite and a did a good job.It is a Mexican restaurant, so I have to start with beer selection and chips. They have Dos XX Amber, so beer passes the test, although I wish it was on tap. Chips were warm and fresh and served with 3 different dips, salsa, tomatilla and some tomato/cream based option which was my favorite.I ordered the mixed chicken beef fajitas and they were served fast and hot. A fajita with everything mixed was good, but I like to separate the options. This was not easy as the meats and veggies were well mixed, but I succeeded. Steak was good and chicken was tender, but lacked some taste. As mentioned above, when mixed together it was good.Well worth a stop as the food was good but the prices were even better. 13.99 for fajitas.

Today was my second day coming to el Rey bar and grill and I'm really disappointed on how much things have change, I came in last year when they had barely opened and I really loved the flavors of the food and queso, and they had really great service, but this time was different, food it's not the same it had a plain taste and service was bad, I waited for 30 min for my food to taste plain. Not coming back for sure.
