El Jalisco Bar & Grill

I've always wanted to this restaurant and we finally went in for lunch. The place is huge with beautifully crafted wood tables. Service was quick and food was delicious! I ordered the Birria plate and Chris ordered the Pollo del Mar. The Birria was okay but Chris was raving about his dish. I did try it. The shrimp was perfectly seasoned and grilled and the veggies had the perfect char! The chicken breast was sliced thin and also grilled perfectly.

Probably the most popular Mexican restaurant in the area, it was packed during lunchtime on a Saturday. Our server was very efficient and hard working. The Pollo con queso was cooked perfect and tasted great. The motif was traditional Mexican. The price was excellent.

Mexican restaurant in Pawhuska, right across the street from the new Osage casino. We were hungry, everything was closed, but they were open, so we ventured in.Salsa was kind of bland...no heat, so I added some to it. Overall I thought the food was under seasoned...the meat in my enchilada was bland, as were the beans...tamale sauce was runny like water...to be honest I was a bit disappointed because we have such great options and flavors in Tulsa with a thriving Latino community. My wife enjoyed it...but she isn't a fan of spice, or heat for that matter. Price was fair, cooked fresh, shrimp were spot on. If you are a traditionalist, this will probably be a bit mild for you. If not, this may be your game. Decor was nice, bright and clean. Waiters were friendly and attentive.

We were in the mood for Mexican food and decided to try this restaurant, despite the reviews, and were extremely glad we did. The ambiance was pleasant and inviting. We ordered a Black Cherry Margherita, which was extremely delicious. For dinner, we ordered two combo platters, which contained a tamal (pork), Enchilada w/queso (beef), hard shell tacos (beef), rice and beans. We also ordered three additional beef hard shell tacos. We enjoyed the meal and everything was delicious. The service and staff are excellent.

Our family loves El Jalisco's!! We eat here nearly every Sunday and multiple times throughout the week. Food is always great and wait staff is very friendly!

Rolled into Pawhuska to see some broad's store and diner on a Sunday afternoon. Nobody told us this town closes on Saturday night and doesn't reopen until Monday morning. For dinner, we had our choice of 2 Mexican restaurants, McDonalds, or the gas station. El Vallarta's had more reviews so we gave it a whirl. After further review, I've realized both of the Mexican joints are one in the same, with the same address, but different names on Yelp. The sign on the building says El Jalisco, so that's what I'm going with.Ordered a 32oz Patron margarita on the rocks. It was big, but didn't taste like anything special. I asked if I could get a shot of Grand Marnier or Contreau to jazz it up a bit. The waitress though she had heard of the Contreau, but came back a bit later and said all they had was a peach liquor. I just went with what they poured, which turned out to NOT be Patron, but a standard house margarita. I also walked back the bar and found the Grand Marnier right on the shelf. Took a picture of it so I could educate the waitress, but my wife thought that was rude, so I'll post it here to make sure you order your margarita carefully.Chips were good, salsa was fresh, but nothing special. Ordered the Jalisco steak with a cheese enchilada and half a dozen shrimp. Now this was outstanding! Needed a knife to cut through all the cheese in the enchilada. Ordered the thin Ribeye medium and I'll be damned if it wasn't cooked to medium! Very tasty, as was the shrimp. All-in-all, a fairly typical Mexican restaurant. They need to up their game on their margaritas, but for a one pony town like this, not to shabby!

Really good salsa that tastes like the peppers or toms are roasted... so it is really tasty. The chips are light, thin and crispy. The Jalisco enchiladas were ok. The cheese enchiladas were as expected. The chicken had really good grilled flavor. The eggs were over hard, but I expected them to be over easy so that was disappointing. I would have gotten something else if I had known the egg yolks would be solid. The beans were pretty bland. I'd get something else next time. The fajita nachos were really good and had lots of beef. The veggies had great grilled flavor. Would get this again.

Surprise good fajitas. Drinks were way watered down and over priced or this would have received 5 stars .Across from the new Casino

Always have great service. Food comes fast unless busy! Staff is friendly. Food is always great!

Five of us had dinner last evening. All of us loved our drinks and food. Service was impeccable. Tayla was our server and she is such a professional! She is pleasant and funny and a great salesperson. The margaritas were delicious! Although I have to say I've never had a strawberry margarita with a salted rim. It's always been sugar. I just drank it through my straw though. Excellent restaurant so if you're in the area give it a try.
