This was a awesome place to grab lunch on Labor Day! It's the home of their famous French Dip Sandwich! I just so happen to love a French Dip so I had to order. It was delicious and I can honestly say that ranks up there with other French Dips that I have had! If there is a negative it may have been the au Jus. It was a touch on ths light side but that didn't slow me down from eating. My wife enjoyed her open faced Chili Cheese Burger! I got to sample and I would have to say I would order that if I came again. The memorobila was quite interesting! From years gone by there was plenty to take in! Nothing like taking a stroll down memory lane!Old fashioned booth and counter seating just added to the overall dining experience! If you're in the Ft Smith area I would recommend that you make a plan to stop in and try their amazing foods!

It is very much average at best. I have eaten there maybe 2-3 times a year over the years and it has always been just meh. I think nostalgia is overriding some peoples perceptions.

Delicious food, great service. We also split the French dip for an appetizer which was excellent. Topped it off with an old fashioned chocolate malt. Great decor and seating.

OK this place is an institution so it was imperative to give it a try. When you walk in, it looks like and old-school diner. The food, however, is definitely above and beyond a simple diner. Of course, it was imperative to try the French Dip, which was dynamite but a little on the small side. We also tried the Reuben, which had the very nice and pungent saurkraut. Service was spot-on, and I felt we got exactly what we were after.

Stopped for the 'world famous' French dip sandwich which was very good. Also got a truly excellent Reuben and onion rings. The atmosphere is great - kitschy diner vibes. You're welcomed by a life-sized Elvis statue. They also make chocolate malts, which are becoming a rarity. Lived this place!

Went there hungry for a French dip sandwich and boy was it good. And my husband had the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. Both were filling. We topped our meal off with some homemade pie. Oh man....... Very good pie and so many selections to choose from. We will definitely be back.

Decent little dive with a classic menu of comfort food and hamburgers. From deep fried catfish to chicken fried steak to chili dogs, this little blast from the past has something for pretty much anyone. First time visiting so we weren't sure what to expect, but we figured it out pretty quickly as soon as we walked through the door; bustling waitresses, packed booths, dim lighting, and lots of greasy food. Combined with the loud murmuring of fellow diners and the staff yelling orders and commands back and forth, I definitely don't recommend any one with sensory issues stopping in. We were told we could sit wherever we wanted and as soon as we did a waitress appeared to take our drink order and hand over the menus. However, she didn't seem too happy about it. Snappy and obviously irritated, you couldn't help but to notice her desire to be anywhere else but at our table. Not to mention she remarked (repeatedly) how her job was too hard, "the hardest place she's ever worked". Whatever, we placed our order and waited. The appetizer came out fairly quickly, my kids didn't even have time to complain about the wait before our chili cheese fries arrived and although they were tasty there wasn't a big enough serving to justify the $7 price tag. Could have easily been a side to a burger or a hotdog instead. My wife had the "world famous" French dip sandwich and I opted for a classic Reuben. The Mrs. wasn't impressed, she said the sandwich was dry and almost bland, but I was satisfied with my choice. Juicy meat, crispy crunchy rye, and plenty of ooey gooey melty Swiss. I chose the curly fries for my side; they were cooked and flavored to perfection. My daughter ordered the hamburger kids platter and she ate every bite. Just the perfect size for an eight year old and it cost about half a dollar less than the previously mentioned chili cheese fries. Well worth the $6.50. My son, only 8 months older than my daughter but twice her size, chose the catfish platter. It was more than he could handle and he loves to eat! He finished the fillets and half the fries before he admitted defeat. He's a picky eater so I was more than impressed. Platters of cakes, pies, and cookies are placed within view from any seat in the house and the chocolate cake with cherries on top caught the eyes of both my wife and kids. They ordered a slice and all three commented on how delicious and "moist" () it was. Again, pretty pleased with their choice. Overall a decent dining experience but nothing to write home about. I've mentioned in other reviews how our family loves to try new places and I'm glad we tried this one, but I don't think we'll ever feel the need to return. Average throwback diner with average diner food and above average cranky waitresses.

Fun old school drive-in in Ft Smith. Definitely a must try and was recommended to us by the locals. You can get takeout, eat outside, or they have a surprisingly large inside area to eat with many tables and booths. Inside you seat yourself, and a busy server comes by with menus. It's very "classic diner" service wise. The server did not make small talk, did not make recommendations, and seemed rushed every time we saw her. But she took our order and brought refills. But little things like only bringing 3 napkins for 4 people and not giving forks with the meal made us have to keep asking other servers for things. However, once we had our food and she left the ticket, we never saw her again to get refills, napkins, or order dessert. We ordered their "world famous" French Dip (add cheese) and the Hot Mama jalalpeno burger both with curly fries. My daughter got the Amy's All in One, which was a messy open face burger with fries and gravy on top. I added on a bowl of chicken and dumplings soup as an afterthought, and it ended up being my daughter's favorite! We also got a slice of raspberry cheesecake at the end which was tasty. The food was quite good. The beef sandwich and soup were our favorites. It was classic diner fries and greasy food but done well. They have homemade sauces (I got a side of Roquefort for my fries), daily blue plate specials (even though no price was posted), and homemade chili and soup. Desserts are also plentiful and around $3-4, which was pretty affordable. Lots of fun Elvis and Marilyn photos on the wall and cute photo ops inside and out. We would definitely stop by again and maybe give their 5lb burger a try (split with the whole family)!

Pretty much the same the last 75 years. The only major change there is they don't have their own hand cut french fries for the past 20 years. I miss those. They still serve you on the cheapest plastic warehouse known to mankind. On this occasion the chicken fries steak was large. It was slightly burned but still good. Mashed potatoes and gravy were good, although I wouldn't call the gravy exactly like mom makes. Typical diner. Staff is rough around the edges but nice and friendly. They have many things on the menu that are all solid. You can't go wrong here with about anything you order. It will be served fast, friendly, and hot.Oh, you can even get it on your car. The only place I ha e ever been to that serves beer to you in your car. I have no idea how they get away with that. Been coming here for 50 years now. They are probably most famous for their French Dip and burgers.

The best Reuben I've ever had! Our server was friendly and attentive but not overbearing. I loved all the memorabilia on the walls. A cool place.
