Hippy hats off to the crew of Easter Island... what an incredible, affordable and most of all memorable experience only 20 minutes outside of Tulsa! The venue is in a beautiful field that looks like you're transported to some kind of Californian valley. There's plenty of space for the campers, art, vendors and music alike. The caliber of musicians is just beyond fantastic and it just feels like everyone is so happy to be there. This is an annual festival that will always live on my calendar. Protips: Use google maps (instead of Apple) for directions and byob.

If you're wanting to go to a music festival that's near Tulsa, not overly crowded, and during the perfect time of year to be outside, look no further than Easter Island Music and Camping Fest. It's only about 30 minutes north of Tulsa, and people from all over the area come to revel in music and fun times. GA tickets include a camping space, which is convenient to have a space of your own to chill and refill your drink containers. While there are food and beverage trucks, it's byob, so you can bring in whatever you want to eat and drink, another awesome feature. People are friendly, and the music is amazing. Bands alternate show times between two stages: one in the two-level clubhouse and the other under the main tent. Vendors surround the area with goods, food, clothing items, etc. This is a great event to come with a group of friends and set up camp together. There are two camping areas: the Orchard is closer to the event, but sells out quickly, so plan ahead if that's what you want. The GA area is about 700-1000 feet away from the main tent. There are ample Porto-johns they clean daily, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
