D's Family Restaurant is a local place that is convenient to Interstate 540 and Interstate 40 at Van Buren, Arkansas. It is a great local alternative to the chain restaurants that populate major highways but lack local flair. Not that chain restaurants don't have their place - but if you are looking for local - this place is quick, clean, efficient and the food is excellent. The wait staff are always responsive and friendly. My drink glass remained full and I was checked on often during my most recent visit - but that's no different than it has been each time I've come. They serve breakfast options all day or you could eat a cheeseburger for breakfast. The full menu is always available. The pricing is comparable to a home cooking chain of restaurants with rockers on their front porch. You won't have a room full of country relics on the walls, but there will be a room full of folks from this part of the country and a large fish tank full of visitors from more tropical areas to brighten the mood. First off, I LOVE their coffee! Flavorful but not bitter or acidic. Servers are always super friendly and helpful. Portions are big and food is yummy. Try the breakfast sandwich, on a bun - soooo good! You can thank me later.

This is a great little restaurant for breakfast and lunch.For those who don't eat meat or are trying to cut back, it's not on the menu, but if you ask they have a VERY nice selection of plant-based meat substitutes available.... Breakfast sausage links and patties, breaded chicken pieces, and "beef" tips are several that come to mind.I usually eat there about twice a week.Bonus: the wait staff is super nice!I love the live-edge wooden tables in the back.It's very clean and has nice decor overall, and the built-in fish tank is a great feature.

Best breakfast in town.The biscuits were hot and perfect and the omelette was loaded full of meat and the ham was purification The new lay out of the dinner gives a more relaxed vide.A fish tank is a elegant touch and I had to stop to see them.
