Dot's Nashville Hot Chicken

Russell's wife brought him to Arkansas, so Russell brought Nashville Hot Chicken. and man did he ever. This is legit stuff right here. Hands down the best meal you can get from a food truck and some of the finest Nashville Hot Chicken I have ever had. Once upon a time, he was nice enough to show us how it's done. Amazing Chicken flavor and great sides. Such a great lunch. Definitely different from any other places that serve chicken.

Got my Yelp Elite 2019 today so gotta start the year off right with a review of my favorite food-fried chicken. I've been jonesing for fried chicken in the area for quite some time and scouted this place out. I came on a Tuesday (I think) initially and they were closed. Yelp will need to update their times but it's available on Facebook. The Nashville fried chicken here is worth driving from SW Missouri (about 1.5 hours) or maybe I'm just insane. Either way it's good. Amazingly tender and juicy chicken that holds together long enough for it to fall apart in your mouth.The batter is light and crisp. A lot of great crunch you want without the horribly oily aftermath you might have at a fast food chain that makes it feel like a metal slug in your gullet.The Nashville spice and seasoning were on point. It's got that mildly sweet hot kick to it. FYI the chicken here are all tenders so there isn't much difference between the tenders and the sandwich-it's pretty much the same. I would drive back down any day of the week so this is an obvious hands down recommendation from a hot chicken fanatic.

Really good food, love it. But, their business hours are absolute atrocity. Closed Sunday AND Monday, Tuesday Wednesday Thursday open for 4 hours, Friday Saturday open 6 hours. Who came up with this business model? 90% of the time when I want this food, it's closed.

Holy hot chicken! Dot's is sooo good! I'd be sad to say this place beats the hot chicken joints I've tried in Nashville, but it's practically in my backyard so I'm not sad at all. Their tenders are perfectly spiced and crispy on the outside while juicy on the inside. Their homemade sauces add the perfect finesse to the whole experience. But wait, then I tried their pickles and sides, and they're also amazing! I couldn't decide what to eat first so I just smashed it all in my mouth at once. I'll be back here again, and again, and again.

With all the current dialogue in our nation regarding who serves the best chicken sandwich I can say, without reservation, the best chicken sandwich in Fayetteville is served by Dot's. The bun was a soft brioche which seemed very light and delicate but didn't break too easily while eating. The slaw wasn't watery and the amount provides the right amount of sweetness to balance the seasoning on the chicken. Chicken crust was perfection with coating that was thick enough to not disappear while chewing but didn't overpower the chicken or the rest of the sandwich. The chicken was cooked through but not dry at all. I'd be curious to try this with an entire filet vs. tenders. Portion was was sized just right,I was full on the sandwich alone and this felt like a great value!In summary: Go to Dot's!

Very poor experience. Portions were very meager and food tasted unseasoned. Additionally service took an unreasonable amount of time and they did not include any sauces. Nice try I guess, I was very disappointed because I really hoped it was gonna be good.

Wonderful, tender, perfectly spiced chicken. Welcoming host, fast service. Great location by the Natural State Beer Garden. Can't get any better!!

Food is great but it is hard to judge when they are open. Seems like they don't enjoy being open to be honest, never open during actual dinner hours. Showed up at 4;30 on a Saturday at natural state and they were already closed. Large quantity of people showed up after they closed and everyone wanted food. Would be great if they were open and had consistent hours.
