This is the worse location I've ever been to. This location is always dirty, items are all over the floor and you can hardly walk around. Just plain nasty.

My wife and I visited this store on December 14th around 9 pm. The self checkout at this location does not accept cash. There was a line at the register, and we planned to pay for our food with EBT, a few small items as we had $18 on a prepaid card, and a dog bed and large trash can with cash. We scanned the food items and other small items, and began to pay for them with our EBT card and prepaid gift card when the police walked up behind us and began to question us, asking if we had paid for everything in the cart. The assistant store manager (I can't remember her name, she is a larger woman possibly in her 30s, with a sloppy appearance) came out of the office and became very aggressive, accusing my wife and I of stealing and telling the police we have stolen from the store many times, and planned to leave the store without paying for the dog bed and trash can. The food purchase had begun to process and was waiting for my wife to put in her PIN number. We explained to the ASM that we had cash to pay for the other two items, and planned to move to the other register with them after we finished paying for our food. The dog bed was underneath the cart, and the trash can was leaning up against the seat, so as to keep them separate from the food items we had already purchased. At no time before calling the police did the ASM speak with us in any way, or we would have told her this without police interference. I had already spoken with the male associate and told him of our intention to come check out at his register with cash after we finished our food transaction. I explained this to the police and the ASM. She raised her voice to the associate and asked him three of four times. DID THEY ASK YOU IF THEY COULD CHECK OUT ON YOUR REGISTER. The first two times she asked he attempted to answer her, but she continued to shout over him. The police asked her to lower her voice and the third time, he confirmed that yes, he had spoken to me about it and yes, we had told him of our intention to purchase the dog bed and trash can at his register. My wife and I do not live in the town of Parsons, I have never seen that woman before, and have never stolen from that store, or any other Dollar General. The police asked a few more questions and were able to confirm our intention to pay for the dog bed and trash can, and asked us what we wanted to do. At this time I did not wish to give Dollar General my business, and asked the ASM to cancel the transaction so we could leave. She told me she could not cancel the transaction, and that I would have to leave the food there and pay for it as well. The police told her that was not an option and she proceeded to cancel the transaction. She informed us that we would no longer be welcome in the store, and that if we returned she would call the police and attempt to have us prosecuted for trespassing. The police left, and we followed behind them. I have never in my entire life been so humiliated or had such a disgusting experience at a store. Surely it is not the policy of your company to call the police and accuse customers of stealing, when they are not even to the front of the line to access the register. Had she at any time approached us, I would have been happy to explain the situation to her. I have contacted a lawyer with an intention to sue for harassment and to find out if I can file a complaint on her for filing a false police report, and I plan to post my experience on every single online platform I can find so no one else has to suffer the horrible situation I endured at your store. I sincerely hope that we are able to resolve this issue. I am almost speechless at the unprofessional conduct of your employee, especially one who has been promoted to a position of leadership. I will not take any action pending your reply. I believe the most appropriate resolution is for her to be terminated, or in the very least demoted so that she can receive the proper training that she so desperately needs. Thank you for taking the time to help me with my issue.
