Doe's Eat Place

Stopped in for dinner after doing business in Fayetteville all day. I had an out-of-stater with me, so I needed him to get a good taste of Arkansas. I've only been to Doe's in Little Rock, so that's what I can compare it, too. Much "cleaner" than Little Rock, and the food was just as good. We split the smallest sirloin and it arrived cooked perfectly, and of course tamales. I think in Little Rock, you get salads and fries with your steak. It seems as in Fayetteville, that's not included. But the steak is the star, so I guess no harm, no foul. The ice tea was awful, but I expected that. I'm a bit of a tea snob and no restaurant seems to make a good one. I keep trying, though. Service was very good, although there weren't many customers, so can't speak to how it normally is, but my guest was pleased.

We had a family style steak meal. Some of the group liked the tamales - just make sure you don't eat the paper. The porterhouse was much better than the ribeye which was pretty tough even though we asked for medium. The fries were really good and I thoroughly enjoyed the bread. The potatoes and green beans were kind of bland. The server was super nice, but didn't ask all of us if we wanted drinks so only the guys got alcohol. They also automatically added quite a sizable gratuity for 5 people.

Great food, service and ambiance. I love the building! Streaks are to die for and so are the fixings!

Do not eat here! Service is horrible ! Forgot several items more than once on my visit. Fish is just frozen thin filet. Sides literally have no flavor. Steaks are big, but they drowned it in salt. They also have no clue what rare means. My steak was medium at best. The outside looks like an abandoned building. Inside looks like a sports bar from 1980 smoke stains dust and all! $100 bill wasn't worth $30. Seriously, worst place I've ever eaten!

This place is really bad, I mean like so bad I can't believe it's still open. Walked with my pop, the entrance is super ratty, feels like waking into an old nasty bar. Walk down a long hall way into a big open area that has windows with blinds half broke hanging down, old dingy drop ceiling half the nights don't work etcWaitress come up and we said we would take burgers with fries. They don't offer burgers.. ok can we get a menu?Nope, no menus...scan this code with your phone to see what we got...Uhmmm, we don't even know how to do that but ok what's something you recommend?Waitress "we only offer steaks"Well ok how much is a steak "$40, $65 or $90"WHAT?'!We out!

We had a larger party but the waitress handled it well. This was recommended by the locals as the place to go. Overall it was good but not as high end with steaks as touted. The area is a large dining area, not a lot of atmosphere but we're were there to drink and eat.

Steak was amazing but everything else on the menu was rough, including the drinks. The service and ambiance was super friendly and the place was unique-looking. It was a lot bigger than it looked from the outside.

TLDR: WoW! WoWSeriously! ¡¡WOW!!I could stop here and be at peace... but I'll go ahead and tell you in English why...Succulent, tender, perfectly cooked beef.Mushrooms... I dream of mushrooms with this much umami!! I'm guessing butter to mushroom ratio is 1to 1! Spectacular!Green beans were spot on. Potatoes - simple boiled red potatoes. Days later my Dad is still mentioning how perfectly tender they were!Biscuits. Nothing like any biscuits I've ever had - but I can't think of a better word so I'll go with it and proclaim them fabulous!!Service was stellar! Looking forward to my next visit!TLDR: WoW!

Had a great evening at Doe's catching up with a good friend. While there the food was excellent, steaks were perfect, the service was great very attentive and friendly throughout the meal. The restaurant itself is very cool, old school look and feel.

Steak was excellent... everything else was poor. Might be a part of the gimmick, but some dude screaming Hot food or cold food to get the waitress attention.... Waitresses were all chilling by the bar on their phones.... All the sides were terrible. Our waitress was super nice and friendly! Will not be returning
