Diamond Ballroom

We saw Insider here a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed the concert and this venue. The staff was friendly, the bar was well managed, and the bathrooms were clean. Thanks for a great experience!

Oklahoma, and particularly Oklahoma City, is a bit of fly over with for most bands. So, any chance we have to see a band at the Diamond, we take it. This place gets a lot of negative reviews. But, going to any concert seems to be laden with issues. The Good: The Diamond has been recently updated.... a huge thank you from all the ladies as the bathrooms no longer require that you update your tetanus shots, carry a flashlight, and a gallon of hand sanitizer. The area is bright and clean. Sound system (which can vary on who is running the board) is on par and most bands sound great. Ample parking, clearly marked with guides when you arrive. Loads of room, 3 bars, decent merch area. The club is standing room/General Admission, but there are loads of places to find your perch for the show. The Bad: Ticket prices look good online, but when you start buying the fees add up... plus you only save $5 on two tickets by going to Uptown or Buy for Less... Not sure if this is a venue issue or a band/promotion issue. The Ugly... not really much to say here. Drink prices are what they are, but at least you can get a double. Overall, it is a decent place to see a live band. It's our Field of Dreams... if you Play here, we will come.

I like Diamond Ballroom. The acoustics are better than other standing room only venues in OKC. The drinks are reasonably priced. I don't hesitate coming to a show here.

The Diamond Ballroom is a Historical music venue... we took our daughters and their friends to see their first concert last week here and they (and us adults) had a blast!!! Staff is amazing, security is awesome, and the sound was ON POINT!!!

Love the location, free parking and lots of nearby lodging. After a recent concert, (purchased tickets and meet and greets for my son for Christmas 2018) my son and I along with several others who had purchased meet and greet passes, were treated very poorly by staff and security. If you're reading this and have anything to do with Diamond Ballroom, please be aware of logistics with the band before reacting badly to patrons. Had those in charge of security acted professionally and asked questions, the whole incident could have been resolved timely. Also, we noticed a large amount of people who could barely walk to their car. Hopefully, there is some training in how to avoid over-serving customers

Not the best place I've been to, but I definitely had a good time. Bathrooms were nice, they appeared brand new and could handle the crowd easily at the concert I went to. Also drinks were very reasonable, I was able to get a 16oz beer for $6. Love that full point Miller Lite. I apologize if the fault on this is with the band, but there was a lot of feedback early in the show I saw.Most annoying thigh is that the ticket charges are ridiculous. I mean no matter what you have to pay extra to get your tickets, even if you print at home. Pearl Jam tried their best, but it just wasn't enough.

Haha, so now that you know that, here's what you DO get:For those of us that remember when it was a honkey tonk and we used to use our fake IDs to get in...well, they still have the old wood floor! And the bathrooms are still atrocious, so no big surprise there. But there are three beer stations (with one of them serving mixed drinks) and their drinks are ice cold, and that's a bonus. Mostly rock bands visit the Diamond these days...and that's just fine with me. An eclectic mix, just follow them on Facebook and you'll see what I mean. I was there last night for Young the Giant and they killed it! Listen, the Diamond is an Oklahoma City institution, and it is what it is: a dive-bar atmosphere that brings decent live music to OKC. The sound is decent and the people who run and work there are really nice. Lots of security...although I did smell that old familiar aroma last night! I would give it 5 stars, but hey, I'm a short person. THE ONLY way for me properly to see the band is to either be immediately up front (which involves getting there super early and um NO) or stand in the wayyyyy back. Some VIP sections would be nice...hey, I'd pay! Go, see a (reasonably priced) show and have a good time...I dare ya!

Torture standing over 30 minutes when tickets say doors open at six. Not cool when I have arthritis, am wearing layers and have work tomorrow.

The sound was not good for this particular concert but the place is a great venue. Pricing was good for drinks.

I had a great time. The concert was amazing. The bartenders were awesome. Until we were calling an Uber an asked the older lady if we could stand just inside the door cause it was less than 40 degrees outside (it was COLD an we didn't have jackets) an the lady an the other younger chick was aweful. Pretty much told us the didn't care an to get outside. Horrible to think all the money we spent in there to pay their salaries an they didn't care enough to let us wait 5 more minutes. Mind you we ubered as soon as the last song came on, some times the cancel an peopleAre stuck......
