What this restaurant has going for it is a nice large patio/deck wrapping around the building on the north and east side. The deck overlooks the not so exciting muddy waters of Massard Creek which feeds into the Arkansas River. It does create an unusual outdoor river front ambiance. A location that any restaurant would love to have. It is cool. A great place to spend a warm Friday night with friends, several platters of nachos and drink beer until you are asked to leave by the proprietor. Something I would never admit to having experienced. Very easy access on the north side of Highway 22. The restaurant inside is spacious and clean. Excellent attentive service. They serve a version of delicious authentic Mexican food, mildly seasoned. The salsas are good. The salsa picante is essential for an enjoyable dining experience. My wife and I both had the #1 lunch special, chili relleno and a taco which is reasonably priced at $8.99. Lunch specials are available until 3pm. The chili relleno was a medium sized poblano, batter dipped, fried, and stuffed with cheese then covered in queso. The taco was large and stuffed with unseasoned lean ground beef. Here is where the salsa is essential. This was the right sized lunch for a road trip. Good average Mexican restaurant.

As always we start with service- on entry the gentleman was very polite and welcoming. The staff greeted us well while being placed to our seat which made us feel very welcomed. Only thing is we were placed in the back of the restaurant in a corner away from Everything and the place was very empty. Only 3-5 tables was occupied while entering and 2 was leaving when we sat. The nachos was really good, hot and fresh. The salsa it came with was really delicious and you could actually taste the fresh chives (green onions) that was chopped in there. Best part is they kept up to the refills before we asked. I got the steak and shrimp which came with rice, refried beans and salad. The steak was really tasty. Not just salt and pepper seasoned but there was some what of a different flavor of seasoning on there. The cook was well done even if I requested medium so it was tougher than I would like it but it still tasted great. The shrimp was over cooked but still flavorful, just too hard. The restaurant was clean and spacious not noisy nor too quiet.

Now, as many know, there is an abundance of Mexican restaurants in Arkansas... But what a lot of people don't know is they are not anywhere near the same! I have been to a couple of these restaurant chains in this one by far is probably not my favorite. Let's start with the salsa... Can we say tomatoes, cilantro, little bit of garlic salt and that's it! because that's what it was! And when I asked if they had hot sauce, my server said house, hot sauce or regular hot sauce I said anything that has something spicier than the salsa. You just gave me... She brought me back the house, salsa and charged me for it! Just like she kept trying to upscale me for cheese sauce! Paying six dollars for a small cheese cup is a little bit obsessive so no thank you! I did get the lunch special which was the Special Lunch 2! And for it being a lunch special, it sure didn't feel like a lunch special, especially with the price! The food, however, did come fast and was to say the least pretty plain. The rice had no flavor at all. It was quite dry, the burrito was literally some rotisserie chicken cut up tucked in flour tortilla with some cheese sauce on top with a side of some of the best refried beans I've ever had. My server was quite busy, but managed to be able to stay on top of every single one of her tables with a positive attitude! Now I'm not sure where they do Spanish in that kitchen, but I don't think anybody was making the food in the kitchen if that makes any sense! If I wanted a white person Mexican, I would have went to Taco Bell! Somebody needs to tell the cooks that they need to add some seasonings and spices and maybe lower the prices when it comes to lunch specials and make them actually a special

This place is gorgeous!! It's clean, it's plenty of space and it has a balcony to overlook the river. The food was exceptional and tasty! I had the street tacos and they were the best Al Pastor tacos I have ever tasted! Lastly the service here is quick, fast and efficient with a house full of friendly staff. I'm here for three weeks and I plan to come here three more times. This Mexican restaurant is that good. The only thing they are missing is Tres Leches.

My boyfriend and I eat here at least twice a month, the food and atmosphere are always great. We also love us some live music and the patio. Tonight was a pretty busy night, 7pm on a Friday. Our waiter, Johnathon, was absolutely great! We hardly put an empty glass down for ten seconds before it was refilled! He was all over the restaurant taking care of everyone and being so so friendly and happy! We already love Del Sol, but tonight made me love them even more! Not to mention, we were wanting a quick meal but not fast food, and we were in and out with full bellies in about 30 minutes, and not the slightest bit rushed! And the food just delicious as always.

The Fajitas taste great but they only give you 3 "Small" tortillas so you have to eat the other half without that. And I made all 3 as heaping as possible. The Beef Taco salad is kinda bland. The Spanish Rice is instant or quick rice. Sorry, I do not recommend this business.

It was our first time at Del Sol tonight, and we were very pleased. We arrived around 6:15, the hostess greeted us with a smile and seated us on the balcony at our request. Despite the 92 degree day, the balcony was very pleasant with ample fans circulating the air. We ordered the Supreme, and Fajita Enchiladas. Our waitress was pleasant, fast, and professional. The owner came out to introduce himself and see how our visit was going. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. We wanted for nothing as our waitress made sure we never had to ask for anything while she made herself scarce and let us enjoy each others company when she wasn't needed. It really was just excellent service and food. The view of the water from the balcony was also very nice. First Mexican food we have enjoyed in Fort Smith. It will be a regular stop for us now. Thanks to all the Del Sol staff!
