D'Lite Scratch Kitchen

Remember in all of my reviews I qualify the restaurant as it relates to the surrounding options and the efforts of the restaurant employees. Now to the food. Mexican Skillet (aka breakfast nachos) OMG! Possibly the best scratch chips under eggs & chorizo! Pancakes fluffy and spongy. Add to this the eggs benedict was delicious!!Service was gracious and attentive. Great job to this establishment taking over for a failed Dennys, thank you!

The proprietor of D'Lite Scratch Kitchen is also the proprietor of Fiesta Cozumel one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Tulsa so I expected good food and good service.I was not disappointed but unfortunately not greatly impressed.The CFS was adequate. Not too tough but not as tender as could have been hoped. Not bad but not impressive.The biscuit was a standard store bought style biscuit. It was fine. The gravy was its match creamy and peppery but not too much of either a standard biscuit and gravy.The hash browns were not crispy but were otherwise cooked through. A little more time on the grill and a little salt would have made them great.They are serving food at a level of skill that is impressive in its consistency of quality. Not an easy feat as many similar restaurants demonstrate. It is unfortunate that the level of quality is mediocre.I will come back to try other fare.I am glad to see this restaurant in operation but I do hope they learn to tweak the recipes and make it great.

Great service, yum food and cute venue. Like a family run cafe with upgraded (meant positively, initially was going to use "elevated" but that implies more complicated fare) American food. Will go back.

This place is definitely my favorite, food was delicious and well served! Service is amazing, and everything was nice and clean, the orange juice was fresh made and that was a great treat! The chorizo was my favorite! Huevos Rancheros was great too!

D' Lite now operating in the old Denny's. They advertise as a "Scratch Kitchen." I believe they are too. Those weren't instant mashed potatoes on the plate and look at those big fluffy yeast dinner rolls. 4.8 rating on Google with 30 reviews. The restaurant has only been open a little over a month. There are daily specials, and if the other daily specials are anything like the Thanksgiving Feast, that we had today, they are the meals to order. Described on the menu as "ROASTED TURKEY w/Choice of white, dark or mixed meat with cornbread dressing." My wife and I had the special. My salad came out, and shortly thereafter the main meal started coming and kept coming. Moist tender turkey breast, on dressing covered in turkey gravy. I had house made mashed potatoes and the salad. My wife had corn and green beans. The meals came with warm soft delicious yeast rolls and even cranberry sauce. This was a gut busting, loosen your belt, and go lay on the couch after dinner meal. $14.99 for a delicious fresh filling meal. There is a very good experienced cook in that kitchen. Try all the daily specials and report back!The restaurant is roomy and very clean. We had excellent friendly service from Michelle (Thank you Michelle)

This is our first time here as this opened a couple of months ago. I wanted to try this place,as the owner Miguel also owns Fiesta Cozumel which we frequent a lot is also the owner here. I ordered the grilled chicken breast entree with 2 sides (Salad, no tomatoes and Mac and cheese). As you can see from photo it came with side salad and mash potatoes and gravy. Small misunderstanding and they fixed wby bringing me a side of mac and cheese. The chicken breast was seasoned really well, it was slightly overcooked and dry but flavor was great. The mashed potatoes were definitely homemade they have small chunks in them but not to much as someone who does not like the texture of chunky mashed potatoes it was so small it was no big deal. Lived them and the gravy. The Mac and cheese, was good, loved that it was not watery like so many places, I did not need to add any salt. I don't like putting salt on my food but so many places I order Mac and cheese it is bland and I need to add salt. Here I did not. The salad was a great mixture and the ranch dressing was the good ranch dressing !! Miguel was there and working right along with all the other workers. I love when an owner is that involved. He did talk with us about our input. This is a new place and I know some of the cooks are learning. We will definitely be going back. I love being able to support local businesses. I'm giving it a 4 right now but I'm sure as this place is open longer it will be a 5.

Jessica was a D'Lite and the food was great. The Belgian waffle with blueberries was perfection and we are going back for chilaquiles soon!

My first impression of this place was amazing! The ambience was clean and country. The service was fast and efficient; I mean FAST. The best place to grab a bite with the family. The prices range from 1-13.99 / LARGE plates of delicious food. The food itself is well cooked and well seasoned! It really lives up to the name scratch kitchen when I tasted their freshly squeezed orange juice! As you can see in the photos it was so good that I didn't even get a picture before digging in! Overall 5/5 stars. Everything was perfect and I enjoyed my stay.

We went here a week ago and breakfast was so yummy! Jessica was so nice and helpful! We had the house made chorizo burrito and yummy biscuits and gravy. Hope everyone will go by and try it!!!!!$

We stopped by for lunch after picking up husband from airport. service was excellent and food was great! will definitely come again when we are back in Tulsa. Everyone was very kind and friendly.
