Copper Penny

Located on the strip so it's difficult to find parking but manageable if you ask around. Wife and I stopped in here while traveling through. Wife had the cherry limeade drink which she is really enjoyed. I did taste it as well and I'm sure it has an after punch but I didn't want to challenge it lol. Crowd is that if any college town but friendly. Decent prices and good place to have a drink

Friendly place, nice crowd. Enjoyed the limey drink and dog friendly patio. Definitely a place to check out. 1 con: Shy guys make sure you poop before you go as the one mens stall no longer has a door (recently torn down by drunk patron).

Visited on: August 24 2012, December 13 2012This bar is a bit cleaner and brighter inside than the other ones on the Strip, but otherwise it's fairly similar: smoking bar, cheap drinks, untidy interior. Yes, you're supposed to get the limeys, and I've had the Cherry Limey. It's sweet, and about as good as a drink with that much alcohol volume can be.

Used to be one of my favorite bars on the strip. I'm currently a masters student here and came back the fall of 2017 and it is now the worse bar on Washington Street. Atmosphere has changed, people have changed, and it is just not the same. I do NOT recommend until they get better management!!!!

The Penny is great for its big patio and of course, Limeys. We always try to make it a game day/weekend stop when we're in town, as we've found a good strong limey is the best way to start out an evening of drinking. They're about $10 each, but trust - they're huge and one gets you a little tipsy. You can also add any flavor of Schnapps which I like to do - the watermelon and peach are really refreshing, and cherry is always a classic.

Wasn't expecting much but had a couple nice surprises.Decided to try a limey cuz I had been drinking all day and not getting drunk and heard a limey is a one way ticket to GetFuckedUpVille USA. I wanna say it was $5 for a 32oz styrofoam cup filled with alcohol. It was awesome and got me totally hammered.Another nice surprise was the "CONSENT IS SEXY" handstamps at the door. Wasn't expecting that from a country western bar in Oklahoma!!

Everyone in Stillwater seems to have some drunken memory they cherish at this bar and they rave about the 'limies'. Don't get tricked by these alcohol induced misconceptions. This bar is a dive bar, full of country boys, has overpriced drinks, and is overcrowded with minimal seating. The seating they do have consists of some chairs strewn about in the middle of everything and some dirty couches. However, this is not to say you can't have a good time here. The jukebox is nice when people pick good songs and the 'limies' are tasty (though not worth the $8.50). Take my advice, go in preparing to be underwhelmed and you just might enjoy yourself.

Country/Western/Classic Rock Bar in Stillwater. Good crowd, good times. No minorities. Cheap drinks. Get a Limey if you are a girl! This bar is a staple of Stillwater culture!

Many people liken to recommend the penny. The problem with this trash establishment is that they have no logic. I am able to fly on an airplane with a paper ID but can't get into the overpriced bar that accepts fakes all the time with a legit paper ID. If airport security would let me fly with a paper issued Id there is NO reason why a fucking BAR should not let me in. The penny has many problems but it starts with having the IQ of a 4th grader and they don't accept real IDs that hold grudges but accept fakes. 1/10 visit any other bar on the strip.

This place is overpriced, waters down their liquor, and has the most unfriendly staff on the strip. The bouncer was cussing at people to get out immediately upon calling for last call at around 1am. Will never be going back upon any circumstances.
