Outside of Cope's Country Cafe (we arrived around 6pm on a Saturday so it was fairly dark).

The building is red and is located just east of the Sinclair gas station at Macomb Junction and Hwy 177. Best food around!! We had their Chicken Fried Chicken meal that came with yummy mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, a roll and garden salad. It was delicious! A very nice treat to find out here. We also had their jalapeño poppers and they were great too. This cafe was nowhere to be found on the internet so I decided to add a listing so others could find out about it. We found out about it by word of mouth. Well, it's time for others who are in the area or passing through to find out about this little place. We highly recommend it. The prices are reasonable and the cooking is great! We didn't have enough room to try one of their home baked pies but next time we will certainly save room. Btw, they have a Friday night Fish Fry (starting at 11am) and a Saturday night Shrimp Boil (again starting at 11am). Both sound delicious so if you are in the mood be sure to check those two evenings out as well.

Very disappointed in Copes. Starting to nickel and dime customers to death. I asked for my green beans to be on the side in a separate bowl and I was charged an extra $2 for this. Then I asked for a sweet tea to go. I was told due to a cup shortage, I'd have to pay a second drink charge for a tea to go. That makes no sense. At least have a good story to go along with the BS you're dishing out.
