City Bites

I'm a long time happy customer and fan of City Bites, enjoying a variety of the sandwiches. Today I tried the "new" chicken salad option. I was disappointed. It was tasteless and dry! The actual amount of chicken salad on the sandwich was minimal, compared to the tuna salad they serve. It was heavy on the bread and the lettuce. (I may have seen a bit of pickle.) I was not aware of any tomatoes; it seemed to be mostly just dry chicken with maybe some mayonnaise. I take no pleasure in sharing this review but it's just an honest observation. I encourage City bites to "flavor up" the chicken sandwich

The California club should be a CA club... so little avocado/sprouts/bacon I told them they got my order wrong. After digging into the sandwich it made up about 2% of the sandwich. It was mostly lettuce. The baked potato was room temp at best, and the bacon on top was 75% fat... we won't be going back.

I had been craving City Bites for about 16 years since I moved away from Oklahoma. Nobody has a veggie sandwich like theirs! It has grilled broccoli, carrot, and I think zucchini. And their bread is so soft and delicious. The location is cute with a fake tree inside and the double-sided mirrors in the bathrooms. I was able to order online and just grab my bag from their shelf.

Food is always good, place is clean, service is friendly. My only complaint is that it takes FOREVER to get your food during busy times. The place seems poorly managed. We came on a Saturday, ordered our food at 12:16pm and didn't get our food until 12:49pm. I asked if they had forgotten our food and the girl sitting on the ground just behind the counter said they were behind because of a catering order. Seems like she should have been helping instead of sitting in the ground. Again, poorly managed.

This review is not indicative or representative of the food quality or taste. Each time I've eaten here it's always great food. But the online ordering/pickup process/ customer service is lacking and that's what I'm reviewing:We ordered 8 sandwiches, chips, drinks and cookies around 8:30am this morning via City Bites website. Everything with that side of it went well. Was easy to do. Yet when my boss went to pick up the order that was scheduled for pickup for 11:30, he arrived at right around 11:30, waited in the drive thru line only to get up to the window and be told he "had to come in to pickup his order". So after waiting in line behind the multiple dine-in customers, he was then told that he had to fix his own drinks. So all-in-all, an order of a mere 8 sandwiches which was placed online 3 hours prior to the scheduled pickup time, too over 35 minutes to be picked up.Not to mention the fact that multiple items were not marked at all, and therefore required us having to put on gloves, unwrap food items and look through them to determines what was what. Most restaurants will tell you they normally go out of their way to perform well when it comes to large orders for business or catering, because they understand how easy it can be to solidify return customers in that instance. Well unfortunately I don't believe our place of business will be ordering lunch here anytime soon because of this experience. Thanks for your time

Wow. What can I say. Super excited to have one of these in Shawnee. That is until I came here. Had a friend that got a cookie on their birthday but apparently tHats only for women. Oh and oUr order usually takes 10-20 minutes to receive. I don't anticipate this locatylasting long if the service keeps up like this. Also they don't have enough seating for everyone when it's full. Tables are missing chairs.

City Bites moved to Shawnee about a year ago and I have been wanting to try it. I like when new restaurants move into town and I like to see them be successful. I've ate City Bites in Oklahoma City quite a few times. One thing they are known for, and this goes back to when I was younger, are their one sided mirror bathrooms. I couldn't wait to show my 12 year old when we arrived. The City Bites in one of the OKC locations has the one sided mirrors going completely around the bathroom, these were just a small window and he wasn't the least bit amused. When we arrived, we were the first customers there for the first 30 minutes. We ordered our food to go and they were super slow. It took what seemed like forever to get our food. There were three of us and we each had a combo meal and cookies. Once we finally got our food we were in the car and to No one's fault but ours, my son did not like the size of his kid's meal sandwich, so I went to order him another sandwich, this time a regular sized. By this time, there was another family there who had ordered and were waiting to get their food and eat inside the restaurant. I stepped up to the counter and ordered a ham and provolone on white bread, plain and dry. Again, I waited for my sliced meat, provolone cheese, and white bread for another 20 minutes. You can tell they work on one order at a time. The food was good, nothing to write home about. It's a good option if you are looking for a sandwich. The decor is nice and modern and the restaurant is clean. Hopefully they improve their speed of service.

Sandwiches are typically good. Service is typically lacking. Ambiance is boring. We continue to stop because of the convenience and probability of at least a decent sandwich via the driveby.

I like visiting this local sandwich shop when I am craving a Mesquite Chicken Sandwich. I like that they have several bread options to choose from including wraps. They also have a variety of Cold Sandwiches or Grilled Hot Sandwiches, Stuffed Baked Potatoes, Salads & soups of the day. I've had their Philly Cheese Steak sandwich & I'm glad that I am able to customize the sandwich to remove what I don't want on the sandwich without it being an issue to customize my sandwich. They have a wide variety of chips, drinks & a display case of cookies if you are craving something sweet.The manager is very nice at this location & has taken the extra time to deliver an order to my table when they aren't swamped. Lunch can be a little pricey but I prefer this sandwich place over the other national chain sandwich places in town. You can also order ahead on the app & pick up your order inside on the To Go stand or in the drive thru.

messed up an order on doordash, so i called them and they said they would remake the sandwich then asked if i could pick up the new sandwich, i wasn't able to so the manager delivered the sandwich to my house with no problems. shout out to that guy.
