First off, make sure to call in your order for pickup rather than using "services." Thanks me later. The food here is some of the best Chinese food in Tulsa. While so many rest on their laurels, the folks at China 8 consistently put out hot and fresh food time after time. This last time I ordered Pepper Chicken. Fried Rice and Egg rolls. It was still so fresh and hot when I got home. The vegetables weren't cooked to mush which is a definitely plus. The chicken was very tender and plentiful and the sauce was delicious. The fried rice was cooked perfectly as were the egg rolls. Love this place!

The service here was very nice and my order was made quickly. Very nice little restaurant but I was so very disappointed in the food I ordered from here. First, the Chicken Fried Rice lacked the one thing it should of had CHICKEN! I literally searched through my rice like something's missing here. Secondly the rice was soaked in soy sauce and extremely oily. By my fifth reluctant bite I gave up and sat it to the side. Next up I took a bite of my Egg Roll and OMG!! The grease ran down my fingers and into my hand...I was disgusted and done!! I will not be back again!

*** Review is during COVID-19 ***Was craving some Chinese food recently and Yelp led me to China 8... and I'm glad it did! I knew I wanted something that felt like a classic night of Chinese takeout but a little more of a local spot and not TOO cookie cutter either. It turns out this was the right place for that - it felt like the best of both worlds! Staff person at front counter was wearing a face shield and they had moved the tables completely out of the way so I think they are not doing dine-in right now.We ordered two soups to share - the egg drop and the hot and sour. I've never really liked hot and sour soup but I gave it a try anyway. I still didn't love it but others said it was good haha. The egg drop soup was good, but I do feel like it was a little lacking in flavor. I know egg drop soup is pretty simple on purpose but I still felt like it could have used one more spice or ingredient. I liked that it came with wonton strips, which were good. The soup we ordered was fine, but it luckily didn't match the rest of the food, which on the other hand seemed much better than just "fine".For my main meal I had the kung pao chicken. To me, it wasn't spicy, but thee sauce was so good that I didn't really mind - which is kind of rare since I almost always want spicy food! The sauce was super sweet and full of flavor. I hadn't tasted something like it when I've had that dish before, and I thought that was really cool. They gave a good amount of chicken too! I substituted the rice for lomein because I was really in the mood for noodles. It was a great choice - they were super yummy as well! I'm not sure they are or not, but the noodles almost seemed homemade, like you could taste the flouriness of them... in a good way. Everyone agreed the lomein was really good. Maybe the best I've had! The portion size was really good, especially for the price - win win!! They have a small and large size for pretty much everything and we got the large for entrees and the soup as well. One other thing I specifically noticed in general was that everything tasted like a distinct dish instead of everything kind of tasting the same, like I feel is sometimes the case at similar places.Don't let the unassuming outside fool you! It may seem like your average Chinese spot but I really felt like it was so much less generic, while also not straying far from what you expect at all either. Definitely want to go back!

We ordered via Grubhub about 7 on a Friday night. When the food arrived, the restaurant had made an arbitrary decision to only send one meal, refunding the cost of the second one. No explanation, no communication. What they did send was not fit to eat due to a combination of ingredients that were either over or under cooked, extremely greasy, and no flavor except corn starch. They won't get a second chance to insult this customer.

Best traditional Chinese we've found in Tulsa so far. 5 stars because they're incredibly nice and prompt and always get our order right.Their Chicken and Broccoli, Veggie Lo Mein, and donuts are all super yummy.Yes, I'm grading on a little bit of a curve - their General Tso's is sort of average, but again great for the area and a good value and I think they deserve the recognition. If you're looking for good Chinese that won't make you feel gross after you eat it and that will be consistent every time you order it, here's your place.

First time here because it was close. Probably won't be back. Broccoli and beef was just broccoli really and the eggrolls were not good at all.

I have always enjoyed the food from China 8, but not tonight. I think when I called in my order I must have been misunderstood. I asked for my Kung Pao Chicken to be extra spicy. Instead of spicy what I got was horribly bland - not anywhere as spicy as normal - and Sriracha didn't really help much. Next time I will make sure that I've been understood.

The honey chicken is the only dish I ever order from there. Just great! Can't say the neighborhood is the greatest and I definitely don't go after dark. The people inside are friendly though.
